I stayed in Chalet Egglen for 4 days on our trip with my husband, daughter and parents. We were welcomed by Markus (AirBnb owner) and given a house tour with pamphlets and maps on the surroundings. As a local, he provided us some great tips on restaurants, where to go on a rainy day, how to navigate around etc. We did a bunch of research beforehand so we knew what exactly we wanted to do in Interlaken and surrounding areas, but you can not beat a local’s insight. The house was very clean, very well equipped and owner was very responsive. We had a few questions here and there and he was beyond helpful. He knew it was our 2-year daughter’s b’day and he even left a cake at our doorstep, going the extra mile to make our time lovely at his place. When you wake up the first thing you see is lake and mountains, the views are to die for. The neighborhood is so pretty. We were split between staying in Interlaken vs here, but so glad we picked this place. 15 min drive from Interlaken, 15 min drive from Thun – perfect location. We loved everything about this place and host. We travel a lot and have never stayed at a better house than this. I would highly recommend this property and Markus’ hospitality!

The apartment was spacious, modern, and very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the panoramic views from the terrace were stunning. The location was peaceful yet close to the town center and lake.

Hotel room with superb views of the lake and mountains. Super comfortable bed. Water pressure of washroom is strong. Andreas is the nicest person, explained everything to us and was very accommodating, making sure our needs were met. A walk towards the train station but we had gigantic luggages — so it was a workout haha. There’s free coffee in the common area. They also have a nice breakfast cafe in the hotel.
