This is an exceptional place that exceeded all expectations. We spent 7 unforgettable days here and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the owners, Ronald and Natalie, for their warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming hospitality — it truly sets the tone for the entire experience. The staff are outstanding: professional, courteous, and consistently helpful, making everything seamless and comfortable. The on-site restaurant is excellent, offering high-quality food and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The diving center is a real highlight — the instructors are highly skilled, safety-focused, and very professional, which makes every dive both enjoyable and completely reassuring. I would strongly recommend making the most of your time here with diving and a climb up Mount Agung — both are unforgettable experiences and absolutely worth prioritising. We will definitely be returning.

Quiet, facilities, clean, comfortable by the ocean, meals authentic Indonesian food, staff excellent with a shout out to Silvia who went above and beyond in assisting me with my visa extension and taking me to dr clinic to deal with my ear infection. Also want to recognize Farley (dive master) for the excellent attention to diving safety and finding the sea life that I was particularly interested in. GumiBali Villa is a beautiful homestay surrounded by rice fields with a volcano looming in the distance. The host, Made, and his family are lovely, gracious, and generous. The grounds are lovingly tended, the home-cooked meals delicious and plentiful. From a small side road you walk along a drainage canal to reach the house, adding to its remote charm. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The main room is very spacious and there is a terrace with a day bed and small table and chairs set. The house pool is perfect for a relaxing dip after a long hot day of running around. We had lovely chats with Made and he shared fruit from his trees with us…passion fruit, oranges (beware of these they are sour, we had a good pucker) and fresh coconut !! We are grateful to him and his family for making us feel welcome and at home. If we ever make it back to Bali we will definitely return to GumiBali… and if not, it will always be in our hearts. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through this area and interested in a warm, unique, and memorable experience.
