It was an amazing property and very comfortable. We wished we had stayed longer but definitely a place to return to maybe with friends or other families!!

Loved the facility. Breakfast was wonderful, but overall, the food could be better.

The Shearwater Hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from Athlone and a 50-minute car journey from Galway. It is close to the marina and the River Suck.

Full marks for this one. I had never been before but would highly recommend. A spacious modern clean hotel with a very customer friendly culture. Staff in the restaurant were amazing and serving everybody although they were really enjoying it and couldn't do enough for you. And the cod and chips was incredible. Would certainly be back.
