Canada- We found the town of Laugar to be a very pleasant stop between Mývatn and Akureyri, we were in this area for two days, but stayed in this guest house for only day 1 of 2.
- The kitchenette is fully equipped and has most of the things you need to cook.
- The rooms are spacious with decent sized bathrooms.
- They have a hot tub but we didn't get an opportunity to use that.

United KingdomA nice little guesthouse. Good size and easy to navigate around. The kitchen was very spacious as was the dining area. Nice to see such a big shower room too. I’m not sure why there were two showers opposite from each other but hey… this is Iceland. I didn’t use the hot tub but it looked inviting. Check in was simple too.

The sky is dark, no sources of light pollution around, mountains aside are not tall, so you see the sky from left to right without obstacles. We had chance to see beautiful northern lights, and it was awesome. Just use one of two large spaces on the road that lead to the hotel, there are the darkest spots for observing. The room was lovely and spacious with underfloor heating. The room and bathroom seemed newly renovated, very modern and sleek but at the same time cozy and welcoming. It was lovely to wake up and look out across the paddock and hills. They provided a range of teas, coffee and hot chocolate in the room.
