Great quiet getaway only 15 minutes from the airport. Alex clearly cares about taking care of his guests! Food was solid and accommodations were made to fit my wife’s vegetarian diet. The grounds are lovely, the pool is a welcome respite, and our room had all the amenities needed - no AC, but a strong fan and mosquito net had us sleeping deeply under a choir of jungle insects. They have reliable contacts with knowledgeable local tour guides who showed us a great time hiking the Amazon, visiting an indigenous community, and navigating the mangroves to view pink river dolphins. Would 100% recommend and love to return one day!

Hotel Amazon ligger mitt i Leticia, några minuter från Amazonfloden på gränsen mellan Colombia, Peru och Brasilien. Här erbjuds en bubbelpool, massage och rymliga bungalower. Amazing breakfast, super nice staff, great bungalow, amazing nice garden… an oasis in leticia. We felt like at home, the lady in charge is incredibly nice and dedicated, she does everything to make you feel well. The jugos are magic, and food in general. Breakfast to remember :-). If you want a colourful note: birds from parque Santander leave the park very early (5:30), which is noticeable all over Leticia :-). It is very good to have early plans anyway in the area.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed — warm, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The ecohabs are breathtaking: spacious, beautifully crafted, and surrounded by pure Amazonian nature. The food alone is worth the trip. Every meal felt like a fine-dining experience, with flavors and presentation I’ve never seen before in the Amazon — absolutely extraordinary. What impressed me most was how effortlessly the hotel arranged everything: activities, private guides, transfers — all handled smoothly, allowing me to relax and truly enjoy the experience. If you’re visiting Leticia or the Amazon, Burú is without a doubt the place to stay. My only regret is not being able to stay longer but I will most definitely be coming Back!
