Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. This place was the equivalent of heaven on earth. I would consider just buying a ticket to Costa Rica to spend a week here and enjoy total peace and relaxation. Our room was big, with a huge balcony that had two chairs and a hammock. The view is amazing. The place feels so safe that you can sleep with the big windows fully open and be woken up by the horses eating grass outside your window. The WiFi worked great. The shower was huge and with water flowing very well. The location is a big farm so you can even go walk and see dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens, anything. They have a swimming pool and a hot tub that you can use anytime you want. They also offer paid laundry service and they have a restaurant. Breakfast was also included and it was great. The hosts and waiters are all really kind and accommodating. Each room has a private parking spot right outside the room. I mean, I could go on for days about how great this place is. My girlfriend and I almost cried when we had to leave. This place is just so great. Do yourself a favor: if you have a car, avoid staying in La Fortuna and stay here. You'll love it.

Offering outdoor pool and a hot tub, Hotel Roca Negra Del Arenal is located in the suburbs of Fortuna. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The location is perfect and the hotel offers a spacious room with a comfortable bathroom and a lot of shelf space. The setting is very private with a large covered deck overlooking a manicured grounds. We even watched many times an armadillo busy searching for food a meter away from us. A beautiful swimming pool and a hot tub was a nice addition and the self-serve bar with coffee and tea provided us with some refreshments. There is also a pool table and table tennis for the rainy days. A very affordable Soda el Turnito is just across the road for a delicious meal. Elizabeth from the reception showed us a beautiful garden in the back of the property. She is very caring and funny! All in all, we had a very relaxing time here and can whole heartedly recommend to others.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... What a beautiful place. The views are superb to the lake and the volcano. The trails are amazing with a wonderful range of wildlife, and the number of different brightly coloured birds we could watch from the deck really was spectacular. Shame we only had one night there but the staff were happy for us to stay as long as we wanted (we left at about 5pm) on the day that we left.

Alejandro was so helpful and he and his Mum shared some Xmas tomales with us , which came handy for an early rush to the airport in the morning . The apartment was quiet spotless, comfortable and the best bedroom we stayed in whilst in San Jose. The garden views and lovely outdoor swimming pool was a fantastic bonus after a long drive from Puerto Viejo. We made quick use of them after a 4 hour drive. It was located about 20 minutes from the Airport Car Hire return offices, so perfectly positioned in a quiet area with good eating options on your doorstep. The bed was large and comfortable and toilet & shower perfect for the two of us.

The family that owns and runs the place are so kind. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The sounds of the birds in the morning and rain at night are magical. This place is extremely unique and the perfect place to experience Arenal. Staff was phenomenal. All of their recommendations were spot on and they helped me make dinner reservations and book activities. This is the best way to experience Arenal. The grounds are beautiful and serene.

The hotel has been built in a wonderful tropical garden. The lush vegetation, wonderful colors of the flowers and leaves, and the dozens of hummingbirds make this place to a real paradise. Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!
