Hotel Keindl offers 3-star accommodation with a sauna, hot tub and hammam. Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Oberaudorf, like hiking, skiing and cycling. Hotel Keindl meets all of my criteria: 1) Family run, 2) CLEAN, 3) Restaurant, 4) Bier Garden, 5) In-House Butcher Shop. I was very pleased on all counts, plus my room was large and very quiet. The included Breakfast has an excellent selection including some of their own meats ! Breakfast room is large and bright with plenty of room for moving around the breakfast offerings. There was a person on duty checking me in to the breakfast and directing me where to sit. Very helpful too. Dinner was very good. The servers were attentive and orders were correct. There is a Brass Band Headquarters/Clubhouse directly across the street from the Bier Garten, very convenient and they played from around 6pm till 9pm. A very nice plus ! Laundry service was excellent and a 1 day turn-around, plus very reasonably priced. Parking was available on-site and close to an access walkway you have access to with your room passkey. Staff speak English, and were very pleasant and helpful. They keep some very good candies in the tray/dish on the Reception counter.

Additional facilities include a ticket service, an Activity Concierge, and luggage storage. Skiing, cycling, and hiking are possible in the surrounding area. Check out the Obersalzberg (500 m) and the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine (2.2 km). Superb hotel, superb location and superb staff and food. Absolutely loved it!

Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.

Each apartment is fully equipped with a free on-site parking space as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Some apartments also have a balcony or a terrace. The location was fantastic. Getting around was easy we either took the tram a few minutes walk away from the hotel or drove. Driving was a bit challenging with the windy roads. We were close to so many beautiful destinations such a beautiful peaceful place. Our hosts were wonderful and helpful. I’d highly recommend staying there.

We were really made to feel at home after a long hike and arriving soaking wet. The manager was very friendly , the room very comfortable and the food and facilities exceptional.
