The hotel owner was very helpful helping us with any questions we had. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious.

Antica Mateola ligger i Matera, 2,1 km fra Matera Cathedral og 2,1 km fra MUSMA Museum. The communication with the host on WhatsApp or in person was great. I was provided a map and a booklet on arrival and he explained me the walking path to discover the Sassi and the city center. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, big washroom. Wifi worked fine. Breakfast was more than I could eat. I really enjoyed staying there.

There are not enough words to describe this gem of a stay!! The view on its own over the Sassi is fantastic ! Easy to find your way out to the flat area as they call it ! We had a rental car but it was no problem . The parking garage outside of pedestrian zone was about 10 min walk . We had Room 1 with a huge jacuzzi tub which we used both nights after many steps all around the area. Great restaurants either down the stairs or up ! Whatever your body can go for after your day making Matera memories! This place is a 12/10 . Loved it 😍
