We traveled around in late December and this place was our favourite out of all our stays in Japan over a three week vacation! The host was so helpful and had so many tips, she also filled the fridge with all the things we needed. She showed us a lot of things we should check out and good restaurants as well. It was definitely worth the stay.

Premium Guest House Alaskan Dream is a recently renovated guest house in Akiota, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Our host, Big Bear San, went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience He gave us advice on bus transport and picked us up from the highway bus stop, saving us an hour each way. He essentially acted as our guide, helped us see the Sandankyo gorge by adapting our schedule to the weather. He took us up to climb Mt. Shinnyu and showed us other beautiful viewpoints. He shuttled us out to a restaurant for dinner and cooked us breakfast on our last morning. He speaks excelled English and is an interesting and compassionate human being. One of the best experiences we had in Japan

LEMON FARM GLAMPING simanami, a property with barbecue facilities, is set in Onomichi, 26 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, 29 km from Saikon-ji Temple, as well as 32 km from Saikokuji Temple. We loved our glamping experience. We had dinner and breakfast and all food was exceptional. An extremely steep climb up the mountain side but you will be rewarded with stunning views!

Bettei Fujiya features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 26 km of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 26 km of Atomic Bomb Dome. We had an incredible stay! This location is a bit outside of Hiroshima, but very easy to get to by cab or train. The facilities were beautiful, and our room was comfortable with very thoughtful amenities and a beautiful private onsen. The main lobby has bountiful snacks and an incredible sake selection, as well as tons of other beverages that we could help ourselves to as we pleased. Both of our meals were so delicious, much more food than we were able to eat, and our whole party got to share a private dining room with an open hearth. This was truly a wonderful experience, and I would recommend anyone to book here and make the trip!
