The house has a pleasant, traditional feel and it is very spacious. The kitchen is big and it was easy to prepare meals every day. The host was very nice and whenever we had any questions she promptly responded. The garden, as small as it is, is well taken care of and we could actually pick some ripe kumquats from the tree. The location is practical for exploring northern part of the island. It was a marvellous holiday.

Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful lodge! It is such a cosy cabin with a lovely outdoor terrace. But of course the unique selling point is the private onsen! With water flowing directly from the mountain (it is sulphureous, but the onsen space can be closed off completely with two doors & the space itself can be aired). It was such a perfect experience to soak in the onsen after our hikes! The owner is a wonderful person & hostess. Highly recommended.

I had a lovely time staying here. I only wish I had planned to stay longer. The host is extremely kind and even offered to show me around, which I was very grateful for as I didn't have a car. He also made sure that I had the right directions for my excursions and takes very good care of his guests. I highly, highly recommend this place. I hope I can stay there again someday!
