Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei ligger 10 minuters promenad från den livliga stadsdelen Kawaramachi och erbjuder boende i japansk stil med moderna faciliteter och traditionell design. Beautiful interior fitting Kyoto. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and well maintaned. The staff was polite and were able to speak English fluently. The recommendations for local sento/onsen were great. They regularly host different events like tea ceremony etc.

祇園四条ホテル har ett perfekt läge i området Higashiyama Ward i Kyoto, en kort bit från Gion Shijo station, 9 minuters promenad från Samurai Kembu Kyoto och 1,7 km från Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall.... Bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent. Even though it was on a busy corner, the room was very quiet and soundproofed. One of the best hotels we have stayed at during our trip in Japan!

Nazuna Kyoto Higashi Honganji ligger idealiskt beläget i centrala Kyoto, 6 minuters promenad från TKP Garden City Kyoto och mindre än 1 km från Kyoto station. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan ligger i Kameoka, 13 km från Oyamazumi Shrine, och erbjuder boende med en säsongsöppen utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en terrass. Outstanding experience. Best place we stayed in during almost a month of travel. Comfortable beds, nice and spacious room, everything amazing. We took room with a private bath and foot bath because we didn't know what the stance about tattoos was in this onsen, and I am pretty heavily tattooed. Apparently, it's not a problem! We still stayed in a private bath, but it was nice to know that there is an option.

谷町君 星屋 東山望月居 ligger i Kyoto, nära Sanjūsangen-dō tempel och Gion Shijo station, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi samt tillgång till ett bubbelbad. Boendet har ett bubbelbad. Otroligt rent och välstädat! Väldigt fint och mysigt hus! Bra läge, lättillgängligt från station och shopping Trevlig personal! Ett boende som jag skulle vilja rekommendera alla!

谷町君 星屋 神泉ノ宿 二条城 erbjuder boende mindre än 1 km från Nijo slott i centrala Kyoto med gratis WiFi och tillgång till en trädgård och ett bubbelbad. Boendet har ett bubbelbad. They were able to hold our luggages for a few hours after check out. When we got back to pickup, they offered us some bottles of water. The day was hot and it was very much appreciated.

海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 ligger i Ine, 16 km från Manai Shrine, och har gratis cyklar, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi och en trädgård. This is a traditional Japanese accommodation, part of a Buddhist temple. The room was impeccably clean, neat, and the host was so sweet to prepare the beds and heat the room for us! He even laid an electric sheet under the table so we would have a space to warm up upon coming! We had Japanese sweets and tea waiting for us, which was perfect for the rainy weather. The host is just a super warm and nice person, although he doesn’t speak English we were able to fully communicate with Google Translate and we didn’t miss anything! Location was amazing! Just at the center of the town, right above the wonderful restaurant - Funaya Kajiya (I highly recommend to book a table in advance) and a walking distance from a really cool cafe in which you can sit and drink it in one of the Funayas. We loved everything about this place and wished we could’ve stayed there at least one more night.
