Opened in April 2014 after a thorough renovation, this ryokan features spacious guest rooms surrounded by tranquil mountains. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and helpful. We had rented a car and in the morning we found that the staff had placed a cover over the wind screen to prevent frost from forming. We were impressed by their attention to detail.

Incredible stay near the ocean outside of Miyazaki. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna before bed and had some lovely pizza for dinner. Woke up early to enjoy the sunrise. Staff were great, very nice and helpful

Right on the beach and has a spacious porch for sitting. We enjoyed grilling one night with meat a local service delivered. A pleasant stay- I’d recommend.

Very atmospheric place in the spirit of Edo period but with modern facilities :) Comfortable and cozy place with everything needed. And we really liked that there was a terrace where you can just sit, relax and contemplate the beauty of ancient dzen garden :) And the location is perfect: you live inside of the ancient Obi district, museums are within 5-7 min walk, a supermarket is within 3 min walk, and Udo shrine is 25min by bus (bus station is 2min walk)

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Miyazaki Station, Miyazaki Daiichi Hotel provides comfortable accommodation with large male public baths and sauna. Good location and parking was available. Plus, a later checkout time.
