The house and garden were beautiful, set in a quiet countryside village far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The atmosphere was peaceful and truly special. Staying there was a beautiful experience and a glimpse of Japan you won’t find in big cities.

From the moment we arrived we loved the hotel. In the heart of Nara, only a stone's throw away from the deer park. The hotwl was clean, staff were so accommodating, and the advice they gave us on Nara was second to none. The private bath was such a lovely touch in the evening. The perfect ryokan stay.ake sure to watch sunset from the rooftop!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 余韻 奈良五條 is located in Gojō, 28 km from Subaru Hall and 36 km from Tanpi Shrine. We loved the attention to detail, especially the vintage record player with Japanese vinyls and how well stocked the kitchen was (oil, spices, rice, coffee etc. - the best we had in Japan!). Staff was very accommodating. Very spacious, perfect for our group. We had to change the group size due to a mistake of our own and it was very easy to resolve, thank you for that. We had a great time!

Beautiful renovated house in the middle of Nara countryside. Staff was extremely kind and attentive, we felt like we were in a japanese house. The woods surrounding the house were really beautiful, and food was really good - ideal for anyone wanting to escape and rest in a quiet area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel room is spacious and very clean, exactly as described & shown on the photos on Booking.com. The staff are all very polite, service-minded and friendly. The check in & out process was effective and they are helpful with luggage. The hotel has a real authentic Japanese style. We also enjoyed the in-house hot-spring bath. The best experience of our stay were the two dinners, which were really nice, authentic Japanese foods with many different specialties and served in a real Japanese way. Although I have visited Japan many times when staying in large hotels, this is the first time I experienced the authentic Japanese hospitality. It is highly recommended.

This is a very large property with lots of space for a family. It’s Japanese style but there are also western style beds if you prefer. The owner is very kind and left many snacks and food for us to enjoy. She is an excellent communicator. The location is perfect - right next to Nara station
