Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. I have been wanting to go to Ito for a very long time and when we started looking for places to stay I saw this gorgeous Ryokan. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights and we were blown away by how amazing it was! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and the room itself was gorgeous and cozy. However my favorite part would have to be the onsen water itself after adventuring around a lot of central Japan the past couple weeks a soak was what we needed and K's house did not disappoint.

Located in Nakatsugawa, さかのみち-sakanomichi features a shared lounge, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. We loved everything about this hotel. The owners - Ken and Yuki were lovely and really helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of homemade produce. The place itself was beautifully renovated and in an amazing location for walking the Nakasendo trail.

From being picked up from the Station, until we departed this was an exceptional place to stay. An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

33 km from Koibito Misaki Cape in Shimoda, 横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, hot tub and open-air bath. Exceptional setting surrounded by forest. Simple and high quality design with attention to detail everywhere across the house: materials, lights, blinds, equipment both indoor and outdoor. Very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, quality toiletries, fantastic sauna, onsen, pool, phone chargers in every room etc. Relaxing place with Japanese flair. Fridge was prepared with soft drinks and beer.

Located within 39 km of Koibito Misaki Cape and 43 km of Shuzen-ji Temple, 海好きな大人の隠れ家下田ハウス features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Shimoda. Kind hosts, beautiful location and a very welcoming, sociable, and relaxing vibe. If I ever come back to Japan I’d love to stay here again. Thank you :)

Guest House HINATA - Japanese House with Sauna and Open-air Bath asub Takayama kesklinnas, 1,3 km kaugusel Takayama jaamast ja 3,5 km kaugusel Hida Minzoku Mura rahvakülast. Home was traditional in feel but modern at the same time with lots of extras which was very thoughtful.
