The property was very luxurious, clean and just very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to accommodate with what ever I needed. Even with the language barrier they did everything exceptionally without any issues. The food was amazing also. The dinners especially were one of the major highlights for me. I tried so many new dishes and they all tasted amazing. Being locally sourced also made if that more delicious. The room was also amazing as I had my own private onsen.

Even before our late arrival, the kind gentleman in charge guided us patiently through everything via a messaging app—making sure we felt welcomed and informed before even stepping through the door. Upon arrival, we were amazed: the room was spotless, beautifully scented, and perfectly prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and everything was designed for comfort and relaxation—an electric barbecue, a warm outdoor bath, and even a fully stocked fridge with a delicious homemade dinner and breakfast ready for us. What truly made it magical was the subtle care: the next morning, while we were away, they quietly collected the used items and restocked the fridge with a fresh dinner—like little invisible fairies making sure everything remained perfect without ever disturbing our peace. This place is perfect for anyone looking to disconnect, reconnect with nature, or enjoy a romantic escape. I still don’t know the name of the kind man who greeted us each morning with a warm smile, but I want to sincerely thank him—his presence made our stay even more special. I can only recommend R;MOGAMI with all my heart.

The view from the room of the lake was unbelievable as well.

Dinner was a truly cool experience, featuring exquisite Japanese cuisine that was both authentic and delicious. The onsen was also exceptional, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The overall vibe of the hotel was inviting and warm, making it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended!

I stayed in a traditional Japanese room and the view of the village was beautiful. The staff were always helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Situated in Yamagata, 200 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, 蔵王温泉 林檎屋 has ski-to-door access, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The owner Ryo is the nicest guy. Put "Apple Onsen Yado Inn" into google maps if you have trouble using Japanese characters. Short walk from the bus terminal. Bless the staff - they carried my heavy bag up to the third floor for me when I checked in. It's an older Japanese style inn; I personally love to sleep on futons so I requested one for my room. The room had everything I needed and was warm during the freezing January temperatures. Clean shared bathrooms, fridge and water stations in the hallways. There is ski/snowboard rental in the building which cost around $35 USD per day in January 2026. Ryo was great adjusting the bindings and also giving me his favorite route of the mountain which he showed me on a map. Later, I ate at their restaurant Ringo Dining where I had amazing soup curry. They also run a food truck outside serving beers and yakitori. Enjoyed the hot springs after a long day of skiing. It was a very welcoming place and exactly what I hoped to find in the mountains. I will come back here!

Boasting mountain views, ユニテ蔵王ジョーニダ リゾート is situated in Yamagata, 700 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. A lot of space in the annex, private, had its own parking and staff provided exceptional service.
