This is a very nice ryokan, just a short walk from the Zuishinmon Gate. The room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. Dinner was absolutely amazing: beautifully prepared and delicious! The hosts were very kind and accommodating; I had an early morning departure, and they thoughtfully prepared a breakfast box for me to take on the go. Highly recommended!

Even before our late arrival, the kind gentleman in charge guided us patiently through everything via a messaging app—making sure we felt welcomed and informed before even stepping through the door. Upon arrival, we were amazed: the room was spotless, beautifully scented, and perfectly prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and everything was designed for comfort and relaxation—an electric barbecue, a warm outdoor bath, and even a fully stocked fridge with a delicious homemade dinner and breakfast ready for us. What truly made it magical was the subtle care: the next morning, while we were away, they quietly collected the used items and restocked the fridge with a fresh dinner—like little invisible fairies making sure everything remained perfect without ever disturbing our peace. This place is perfect for anyone looking to disconnect, reconnect with nature, or enjoy a romantic escape. I still don’t know the name of the kind man who greeted us each morning with a warm smile, but I want to sincerely thank him—his presence made our stay even more special. I can only recommend R;MOGAMI with all my heart.

The atmosphere was superb, very helpful and kind staff! The food was also brilliant, I also used their sauna room which was very nice too and very reasonably priced. Overall, wonderful for the price. The view from the room of the lake was unbelievable as well.

The place was amazing. Beautiful and large room, very comfortable. We absolutely loved the food, especially the Yamagata wagyu! It was delicious and the meals were so beautiful and plentiful. We bought many items from the hotel gift shop - they carry very nice souvenirs. Rooftop outdoor private onsen for free - an amazing addition to an already wonderful stay.

The hotel was lovely and staff were excellent. Great location and an easy walk to the ski field and village for dinner. I stayed in a traditional Japanese room and the view of the village was beautiful. The staff were always helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend.

The room is spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, with excellent family-friendly facilities that my kids thoroughly enjoyed, including the play and reading areas, and the convenience of provided parking added to a pleasant stay. Although the staff speak little English, they are extremely helpful and go out of their way to explain things in detail, making it a minor concern overall. For the first time, I experienced a hotel policy requiring guests to leave their shoes in the lobby and walk around in socks or in-room shoes, which I found to be a great idea for maintaining cleaner floors throughout the hotel.
