Comfortable and cool aesthetic. Kalpa, who manages the accommodation, is very friendly, respectful, and helpful. He went out of his way to make my stay a great one. The location is a bit away from the centre of town but it's close to the lake and easy to get to town by TukTuk. 100% recommend staying here.

Lots of space, beautiful interior, everything you need, comfortable bed. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful, thank you very much! There are also two wonderful dogs, so dog lovers will definitely like it :)

Everything. Anusha is the most incredible host - kind, attentive and a genuinely friendly person. He and his lovely wife go out of their way to make every guest's stay perfect. The room was wonderful - with a door to the fabulous balcony where you can relax and watch the birds. The bed was big and comfy, and the room was very quiet - perfect! The dinners were declicious, and Anusha and his wife showed the kids how to make egg hoppers and string hoppers - such fun :) The pool was great for the kids, and the area is lovely and peaceful, with a gorgeous outlook, yet very close to the madness of Kandy city centre.

The owners and their helper are some of the most hospitable, helpful, and genuinely kind people I have ever met. I stayed with them both before and during the cyclone, and honestly, I don't know how I would have gotten through it without them. Even with no water or electricity, they made sure we had food, clean water, and anything else we needed. They treated every guest like family. Every morning they’d check in with the biggest smiles, always ready to help or share stories. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, so proud of their country, and genuinely interested in every single person who stays with them. At one point they said, “You are all our sons and daughters,” and they meant it. And the home itself? Stunning. I stayed in the deluxe room and felt like an absolute princess. The bed was super comfy, the room was huge and beautifully decorated, and the balcony overlooked jackfruit and coconut trees. The house sits up on a peaceful hill—about a 30-minute walk or a quick 7-minute tuk-tuk to the city centre—and it is so worth it for the quiet and the views. The owners also have great connections and can arrange pretty much anything: transfers, day trips, excursions… they even ordered dinner in for me one night. They make everything so easy. And of course, their angel dog Bella only makes the whole experience sweeter. Despite staying through literally the worst cyclone in Sri Lanka’s recent history, I’m leaving this homestay with such a positive experience — and that is 100% because of the owners and their helper. This place is truly special.
