Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. The staff were amazing, the breakfast was fantastic! The spa, pool etc. were so clean and we appreciated how quiet it was while taking a hot jacuzzi.

A recently renovated guest house in Selmes and within 35 km of Alqueva Dam, B&B Casa da Ponte Selmes Vidigueira features pool with a view, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. A hidden oasis gem in whitewashed Portuguese village. The owners, Anouk and Dennis, a Dutch couple are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The 2 rooms are self catering but for a small price a very tasty continental breakfast is available. Our ‘room’ consisted of a huge bedroom with very comfortable super king bed leading to modern fully equipped bathroom with wonderfully powerful shower. There is also a sitting room and further twin bedroom upstairs. Outside is a salt pool, expanse of grassy area (good place for breakfast) with shady trees. There is also a very well equipped shared kitchen for both rooms. Wonderful place, we had a great time. Thank you.

We were delighted! Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful! Our host Fatima was wonderful and very friendly making us feel genuinely welcome. She was also very helpful with various suggestions of places to eat. The room we had was very comfortable and spacious with a large attractive bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and varied. We had a very relaxing stay out in the countryside.
