I was absolutely captivated by the hotel's prime location in the heart of Serra Da Estrela, but what stood out the most was the exceptional service. We had a fantastic experience at the hotel, especially enjoying the thermal pool – it was amazing! What stood out to us was the exceptional service, both by the pool and at the bar. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also had a toast for dinner one evening, and it was delicious! The price was very reasonable for such great quality. Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for relaxation and great service.

We were the only guests. The host and hostess were very attentive, but not intrusive. Bed was very comfortable. Room good size, excellent temperature control, wardrobe, fridge. Shower was amazing - large, hot and good temperature. Breakfast was exceptional....yoghurt, museli, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, bacon, cake, coffee, juice... couldn't ask for more.

That's the best description for this restored 3 bedroom 19th century mansion! Huge rooms with huge ceilings, comfortable beds, decorated moldings, period furniture, spacious kitchen, spacious bathroom, tons of bath towels, full cooking supplies, grand hallway, private garden/yard with traditional cement wading/soaking pool, fast wifi, gracious and helpful host - and all of those traits are just the beginning. The local hiking is tremendous, and short drives away are historical villages and the tallest peak in Portugal where you can sample various meats, cheeses and pick up a 100% wool blankets for practically nothing. In short, this is one of the rarest gems in the rental world!
