Located 32 km from Iron Gate I, Serenity offers a private beach area, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The property features a huge open deck which has a fully equipped kitchen complete with lots of fridges, a pool, and plenty sun loungers. You can do everything there: cook a meal, take a dip in the pool or in the Danube, or just kick it back, knowing that a cold drink is always at hand. It also has a geographical feature that I find quite charming: the sun rises twice! (like at the Double Rise) Once at sunrise, when you begin to see, and then when it rises from behind the mountain opposite over the Danube. Given that the sun is higher up when it comes out proper, I've seen some of the most amazing "golden bridges" ever. All the rooms have balconies facing the river, and an other useful thing is that the parking lot is right out the door, so you can have your car as a quasi extension of your room, which is quite useful. The host is the best of the best. He treats every guest as a friend, and would go above and beyond for you to have the best experience possible. There are so many wonderful things to see and do in the surrounding area, and he is a treasure trove of information.

This is a stunningly beautiful location, and the atmosphere is serene. We loved everything about our stay. The rooms are beautiful and look exactly as in the pictures. Modern, cozy, and clean. The outdoor space is amazing. The owners, Alex & his wife, are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. They made us feel as if we're visiting old friends. The hosts are amazing, welcoming, amusing people who are sharing their own little paradise that they build for themselves with the guests. However we didn't feel like guests, but rather as new friends who can't wait to come back to spend more time with Slavko and Danijela. The apartment is equipped beyond the standard stuff. The hosts have really taken the time and thought to make the stay of their guest a memorable experience. We enjoyed the sauna every day of our stay (linen, bathrobes and etheric oils included). You will find all the kitchen appliances and utensils you will need. We were here in winter time. The apartment is warm and well furnished. The whole property is huge and has a garden, a gym, a barbecue station, a ping pong table. In the summer you can enjoy relaxing in a pool. The area around the place is great for strolling, hiking, cycling. Near by there is a restaurant with local specialties at very reasonable prices (discounted for Lavanda guests), and you can order the food for delivery to the apartment. And then there are the little things that make all the difference. You will have a stock of coffee, tea, snacks, water, sodas, etc. Enough linen, blankets, towels, shampoo and everything you need for this sort of daily routine. Even if something is missing, you are invited by the hosts to ping them at any time and they will go out of their way to provide you with what you need. This is not a recommendation - this is an invitation for travellers looking for a cosy and homey experience in a natural environment with some of the best air quality in the world. We know we are coming back, without a doubt.

Casa Nuova Tekija - Kladovo is a recently renovated holiday home in Tekija, where guests can make the most of its massage services and garden. Definitely a lucky chance brought my family to this charming place. Amazing nature, pure air, incredible view at the river - everything you need to have a rest from big city life is at your disposal. The host Goran was very welcoming and helpful, he is also a boat-tour guide so he helped to organise a very nice journey on water for my family. Highest recommendation, definitely will come back.
