Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour.. un emplacement incroyable, on ne peut pas etre plus près de la mer à moins d y être carrément dedans. un apaisement de l esprit assuré. A cela comptez sur l accueil chaleureux de Barau et de sa femme et de ses excellents plats. Ils sont très discrets et présents pour répondre à toutes vos interrogations et vous guider si besoin. First of all, if you are planning a trip to Zanzibar -- congratulations!! You have already won. This island is a MUST VISIT. Absolutely stunning views, the freshest seafood and the warmest people. I spent time traveling around the entire island and staying in various hotels at various price points, and I can confidently say that Kwanza Resort was by far the best hotel I stayed in. From the moment I arrived, the staff made sure my every need was attended to , taking my bags, providing a refreshing welcome drink and cool hand towels while I waited to be checked in. The woman that assisted me with check-in, Mwansuda, was so gosh darn sweet!! She saw that I was alone, solo traveling, and upgraded me to an all inclusive package and the most amazing room with my own indoor and outdoor shower, private deck and swim up pool with the most breathtaking view of the Indian ocean, all free of charge. I sat right there on that deck and watched the best sunsets both evenings I stayed on the property. Mwansuda did not lie when she said she upgraded me to the best room on the property and I am so grateful to her for making this stay so memorable. Now - the PROPERTY!! Absolutely stunning. The grounds are well kept, three wonderful restaurants to dine in, a spa complete with massage rooms, sauna, steam room and Turkish bath areas, multiple bars and lounge areas, entertainment area where there are performances each night and a man-made beach area since the beach in that area of Kizimkazi isn't the greatest. If you are a sucker for sunsets, this is definitely the property for you. Although I decided to stay on property the entire time, guest services are also very helpful. Mercia and Amy are an absolute delight and are available to book any excursions you may want to do during your stay. If you are staying in this resort for a short while, however, there is more than enough to do on property so you do not have to leave at all. Overall, a fantastic stay. 1000/10.

Situé à Makunduchi, le One Resort Zanzibar possède un restaurant, une salle de sport, un bar et un jardin. A titre personnel, c'est mon hôtel préféré de notre séjour à Zanzibar (sur 4 hôtels au total). Il est situé un peu à l'écart, mais du coup bénéficie d'un cadre calme et très beau. L'hôtel semble tout neuf, il est à taille humaine et donc il n'y a pas trop de monde. La piscine est très grande et a un bar au milieu. Le staff est aux petits soins (je remercie Dula, Tito, Amour, Othmane et les Massai) et ils organisent plein d'activités au quotidien (cours de swahili, aqua gym, volleyball...). Il y a un terrain de volley et une petite maison en bois avec toboggan pour les enfants. On peut passer de la piscine à la plage en marchant même pas 1min car l'hôtel est situé au bord de la plage. Le restaurant est ouvert, très agréable et le chef est digne d'un grand restaurant - il varie les types de cuisine tous les jours - le buffet à la fois du petit déjeuner et du diner est riche, varié et délicieux! Nous avons super bien mangé! Et en plus tous les soirs il y a des animations - nous avons pu voir des danses locales, une soirée cinéma pop corn sur la mezzanine, une soirée blind test, une soirée de guitare autour d'un feu sur la plage... Juste magique! C'est un hôtel qui est dans l'ensemble très famille & kids friendly, je dirai à date un peu mieux adapté pour les >4 ans mais notre fils qui avait 2 ans et demi a passé un super séjour également! Quand on a une voiture on peut facilement visiter des endroits sympa à distance moins de 45min avec notamment la plage de Paje (spot de rêve pour les kitesurfers) et le restaurant The Rock (très original, à faire!!).

Situé à 55 minutes de route de la ville de Zanzibar, au bord de sa propre plage de sable blanc, l'établissement The Residence Zanzibar possède un jardin et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite. So relaxing and luxurious I loved the villa with ocean view, the room was big and as well as the bathroom Turn down was not a regular turn down they basically arranged and cleaned the room again. Everyday we stayed there they came to check on the pool without calling them. The staff is so friendly and kind. I loved seeing the monkeys outside my room. Sport activities were also nice. The massage was amazing and so relaxing.

We came as a group of friends straight from the beach, simply looking for dinner… and somehow ended up staying the night. It turned out to be the best spontaneous decision of our Zanzibar trip. Your food was genuinely outstanding — fresh, beautifully presented, and far beyond what we expected from what we thought would be just a “random beach stop.” After dinner, when you showed us the rooms with their direct ocean views, that was it — we didn’t even hesitate. The sound of the ocean at high tide is intense and very close. You truly feel the power of nature there. For us, it was magical and unforgettable. I can imagine that for someone who prefers total silence or more distance from the sea it might feel overwhelming — but honestly, that raw closeness is exactly what makes your place so special. Thank you for creating a place where accidents like this can happen. We would absolutely repeat it. Xxx
