Loved the room, the bed was so cool and decently comfortable! Loved the bathroom. The room was also nicely clean and warm when we arrived. Also! Loved the fairy garden. So cute!

The natural setting of a cabin in the woods was a rare experience for us. We liked it very much. The cabin was clean, warm and comfortable. It was also well equipped and we could cook our own meals easily.

Dove Lake
For breathtaking views of Cradle Mountain, wander around Dove Lake. The glacier-sculpted peak is almost always visible as you walk along the icy water's edge. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for wallabies, pademelons, and platypuses. If you're lucky, you might even see some Tasmanian devils!

The wooden boat house, on all the brochures is around the first bend over the hill. So keep walking for about 10 minutes and it will come into view! The stream runs to the west of the visitor centre along the walkway and is worth a visit just to sit, listen and ponder.

Brilliant, easy walk, very leisurely stroll taking photos soaking it all in. The weather is hugely changeable so pack for rain, wind etc
Take a packed lunch and water for a picnic
Every time you turn around the sun hits another spot and lights up an area, scenery is constantly changing with clouds etc - magnificent
The National Parks deserve huge credit for their organisation of transport and the pathways etc, great design to keep people from doing extra damage traipsing where they should not be

It tooke us approximately 2hrs 20mins (we also took numerous photos). We walked in February on a cool day, clockwise which I think is best. Make sure you go to the Visitor Centre 1st to get your pass as you cant drive to the top carpark (Its worth it, approx $17). You don't have to do the whole circuit, you can do 2 shorter walks, both are still worth it! Honestly one of te best walks, we were just blown away by the scenery & the boardwalk construction is fabulous.

Highlander Restaurant was truly excellent in dining experience. A bit pricy but worth it.
The breakfast was very good.
The unit was spacious great feel. Each day the wood heater was repacked ready for next use.
The atmosphere was exceptional and being two kilometres inside National Park with ready bus stop pickup to Dove Lake etc. Loved Cradle Mountain so much. The highlight of visiting Tasmania. The staff so friendly and helpful.
Perfect location. You can easily walk to the shuttle bus depot to Dove Lake and other walks. Beautiful setting with a guest laundry. Great coffee in the morning from the bar. A lovely touch !! The cabins had everything you would need eg. full kitchen etc. Perfect and plenty of wildlife !!!
Good breakfast with plenty of variety. Dinner was exceptional and, in our opinion, good value for money as we had the set three course dinner. Possibly could have had one less dessert though!!
Great location with easy access to walks in and around the lodge with a short drive (or bus ride) to the longer walks and Dove Lake.
I did not use their restaurant as we were self catering, however the resort was very close to the info centre where the Cradle Mountain buses left for Dove Lake.
We also had access to a guest laundry for our use.
