The property is aesthetically beautiful, but the experience was far from relaxing. When you go on vacation, you expect to unwind, not spend each day contacting the host about ongoing issues. Unfortunately, that became our reality. From the start, we struggled with hard beds, poor plumbing, and sinks that did not drain. There was also a previous review on December 4 noting electrical issues, yet we were never informed, even though the hosts were aware. Hot water was inconsistent, and with multiple bathrooms, we still could not all shower because the water remained cold. The toilets also flushed unpredictably and caused delays and inconvenience. Electrical problems were constant. Several outlets did not work, and maintenance had to be contacted multiple times. During our scheduled chef experience, the repair technician had to leave the property to find parts which left us with limited lighting. By the end of the trip the outlets remained unreliable. The refrigerator never fully cooled, and the ice maker did not work at all. In addition, several televisions in the home did not function which made advertised amenities unusable. To make matters worse, when we requested a late checkout after multiple disruptions during our stay, we were immediately told no. Only after a few follow up messages explaining the issues were we granted a one hour extension. Overall, while the property has visual appeal, the combination of unresolved maintenance problems, inconsistent communication, and lack of transparency made this stay far more stressful than relaxing. I hope future guests experience improvements that match the home’s potential.
