Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Good food and clean comfortable room. We had limited free time but staff arranged purpose built tour of the waterfalls and coffee plsntations through an agent for us. Our guide, young Andreas was exceptional. Outside the city is much better to see real Costa Rica so take some tours

The breakfast was excellent, and all of the staff were nice & friendly, I only spoke with a few but this is a relaxed, safe and friendly hotel / casino. The big doorman were also charming once they started talking, very helpful. One of them offered to walk the 5 min walk to the shops and ATM if I felt unhappy walking there. I walked on my own & it was fine. Thank you to all of the Taormina people, it is true what they say " Good people are what makes a hotel work well"

A great place to have a comfortable stay and meet fellow travellers. It has many common spaces and various activities. The location is perfect to explore the city.

Beautiful old building with a lovely breakfast room with dark wood. Breakfast was abundant and kept me going until dinner. Reception staff extremely helpful in organising pick up from airport, early check in and taxis. Room was large, lovely hot shower and appreciated the filter coffee machine in the room. Staff work hard keeping everything spotless. Excellent location for visiting National Museum, National Theatre and a supermarket only a few 100m away. Ideal location

It looks like being in a separate world. All the decorations are unique. I loved that there is also a lot of nature

Beautiful building, friendly staff, great communication in advance to help us with our stay, we loved tree breakfast in the morning and the pool.

The location was great. Restarunts on either side of the hotel, a bank on the corner and walking distance from a major park, attractions such as the Jade museum and historic sites. The hotel manager was great.

Spacious, spotlessly clean room and very spacious public areas outside bedroom. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with good variety. Only a block from the National Theatre.

Outstanding location beside National Theatre two blocks from central market. Free luggage storage was very helpful. Nice breakfast. We came and went from this hotel three times throughout our comprehensive travels in Costa Rica. When I needed to modify a booking and the booking.com website got it wrong I phoned the hotel directly and several people efficiently got the message into Ricardo's hands and he made things right. Staff is friendly, location is secure and close to grocery stores, right on the pedestrian street.

Checking in was more complicated than necessary. Each room is privately owned and managed by booking.com or a representative. We arrived around 8pm and the security guard at the front desk didn't have our reservation at hand. After an hour going back and forth through booking.com customer service we eventually got in.
