Each receptionist that we met was really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious for myself and my daughter. Very clean, comfortable and everything we needed. Location is really good, right in the centre of Arenas. The hotel staff asked if we would like to leave our car or bag while we went to visit Bulnes after checkout. The staff at breakfast were super friendly and welcoming! And the breakfast was the perfect start to our day. Good options to choose from and really good value.

Everyone we met, from the woman who checked us in to the man who so nicely carried coffee up to our room from the restaurant, was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy we were there. The people at the restaurant next door were equally as friendly and very helpful with the menu. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room and there was a lovely terrace overlooking a stream. Everything seemed like it had been recently updated and the shower was awesome (a marker of a decent place to stay in my opinion!). We would recommend staying here and would return!

It is a challenge if you do the entire hike starting in...

It is a challenge if you do the entire hike starting in Poncebos and have lunch in Cain. Especially the first mile and a half go pretty steep uphill with some loose rock. After that it was quite manageable and the views are great. If you want to experience the views and the more Instagram spots such as tunnels and bridges, start in Cain and go as far as the 9.1 km spot then return. It is much easier and still spectacular.

Great location, can’t get closer to Ruta De Cares trailhead than this. Facility is basic, clean, fit our need. Owner is very friendly. Dinner was good.
