We had a very good experience staying at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was fantastic, with interesting places and attractions around every corner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also experienced a delay with our flight, and the hotel kindly assisted us in extending our stay, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again.

The hotel stuff is great. They provided all the info we need, plus easy & fast check-in. Location is very good, close to metro stations, historic buildings, restaurants, Boqueria Market; not far from the sea. Also not far from Plaça de Catalunya where there's Aerobus station for easy transfer from/to airport.

Picasso Museum

Picasso’s iconic paintings may grace galleries across the globe, but this is where it all began. The artist spent his formative years in Barcelona, and this compact museum houses a world-class collection of his early works. As you wander the Picasso Museum’s medieval halls and stone staircases, you’ll see his shifting style unfold through line drawings, Blue Period oils and the entire Las Meninas series.

If you are into contemporary art or Picasso, it's a must!

If you are into contemporary art or Picasso, it's a must! Please also admire the beautiful palaces it it located in. Just look up at the ceiling! Take your time and listen to the audio descriptions. Mind the age when he started drawing!!! He was a genius.

Check the store, very nice replicas at good price and scale. Also buy postcards in package if you want to give away later. The museum is relative small but if you know Picasso's work is the place to visit !

When you finish at the Picasso, go directly across the alley to the excellent Museu de les Cultures del Món (Museum of World Cultures), with its terrific collection of art and objects from other cultures (for instance, Southeast Asia). A fantastically interesting collection of carvings, weavings, pottery, ceremonial items - so interestingly presented. The crowds are light here and it's deliciously cool inside.

Take metro to Jaume 1 and walk to the museum. Well worth the visit to see works on display. Online tickets beat the lineup into the museum. Cheap tapas breakfast sandwiches with coffee or juice available as you walk towards the museum in the AM. Just look out for them.

Also under renovations.

Also under renovations. Staff were not very clear about what ticket was for what, so a bit over priced. Back packs must be left in a paid for locker so do that immediately you arrive instead of traipsing back and forth. Easy to spend an afternoon here. If you love fine art, it's a must do. Bus and metro transport easily available. The shop was delightful for little souvenirs for art lovers back home.

The room was tiny but had everything we needed. The location was FANTASTIC--we loved being in the Gothic quarter, with easy walking to las Ramblas, the Picasso Museum, and Placa Reial, and a close metro stop for access to everything else. Staff were friendly.

I went to Pablo Picasso Museum on Saturday, but if you want to save 11 Euro, the best day for visit is Sunday. The first Sunday of the month there is free admission. Every Sunday an admission is free from 3 p.m. The museum is very good and must be visited either with fee or free admission.

The Picasso Museum is free on Sundays, but you must still go to the office and get a ticket for entrance. GO EARLY or the crowds are big and line for tickets exceedingly long. Always go to the tourist locations early to beat the crowds. Then you can enjoy siestas like a local!
