I thought they were going to be fans watching a match day around the stadium but I took a bus to see the bars around a match game of Liverpool playing as a visitor. However no crowds no people bara closed and the few bars had 2 or 3 old folks watching the game. This fan base stinks! Liverpool FC is garbage
A lifelong dream to see Liverpool play as well as a meet and greet hosted by the iconic Liverpool legend Phil Thompson. It was all I could ever asked for and more. I will never forget my time there. I will be back
I am no football fan; so this was a visit which began with some trepidation - however it was awesome in that you get a really true insight into why their fans are so loyal and absorbed in/with this club - really worth a visit
Did the Legends Tour - runs on a Saturday - excellent experience - all the guides in the stadium for the regular self guided tour are excellent also, super friendly and happy to chat & impart their knowledge. You get 10% off merch if you do tour.
Stadium ok but totally unsuitable for a concert. Difficulty getting to the stadium and coming back to the hotel was awful. They had laid on some buses to go into the city centre but there must have been over 1000 people waiting, we gave up and asked some locals who pointed us in the right direction, luckily we eventually got on a bus. Im not surprised Anfield hasnt held concerts for ten years, they need to either work better with the council or stop
We went to see a concert and found it a really good venue. Although once the concert finished it wasn’t clear where to catch the bus/taxi back as there was road closures and we ended up walking back to town.
perfect location for visit to Anfield LFC The hotel is all Liverpool themed and we stayed in the suarez room. Room was immaculate and suitable for a short stay over a weekend etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bar in basement so well away from noise. Breakfast very nice continental with ample choice. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.
The place in good location, a lot of restaurants and super market nearby, the train station is not too far, can walk from hotel to many places like train station, pier, beatle museum, Klopp stree art, Liverpool Cathedral, etc. Go to Anfield by bus is convenient. The kitchen and washing machine is better than expected.
Fantastic accommodation and a wonderful host’ Paul made us feel extremely welcome. The apartment was brilliantly equipped with everything you could need. The location was perfect for Anfield, less than 5 minute walk and in a quiet and safe area. We will definitely be back! Thank you Paul!
My wife and I visited Liverpool from the US to go watch a Liverpool FC game at Anfield. Hope Street Hotel was the perfect home base for this purpose. The hotel is centrally located with a great restaurant/bar and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Would highly recommend staying here!! The location is fantastic for exploring the centre and visiting Anfield. The hotel itself is clean and welcoming.
Everything hotel close to train station not far to shops restaurant and anfield we were in Liverpool for the match Liverpool and Brentford
This hotel is beautiful! Very clean, kind and helpful staff. Pretty close to Anfield which is great! But…not very close to much else.
good location if the purpose is to see a game at Anfield. nice restaurant in the hotel and close proximity to public transportation
