Location was perfect. Close enough to the top sites, but still felt local. The breakfast (and the cocktails) at the bar downstairs were delicious. The room was comfortable and cute. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back.

British Museum
As Great Britain’s Empire expanded, so did its cache of material treasures – many of which are on display in this world-class museum. Among its eight million exhibits, you'll find the stunning Elgin Marbles from Greece, the Benin Bronzes and the legendary Rosetta Stone. The Reading Room stands at its heart and is spectacular in size and scope.

No other museum can even be in the same category. Everywhere I looked I was in awe. I even had a chance to hold a hand axe once used by Homo erectus some 400,000 years ago (I think his name was Fred).

Amazing museum, well organised and full of interesting stories. Plus it's free! (except for the temporary shows) I really recommend to stop by, pick up the map at the entry and just get lost in history!

Excellent place with something for everyone, but don't expect to see it all in a couple of hours. The collection is huge. Don't bother with the non- museum touted tours or 'mystery' tours. Not worth the money and you only get a sheet of paper and a pencil - then you're on your own. Better , especially if you have kiddies, to check if the museum run sessions are on, they are much better. The food here is a rip off.

Go for 3 hours at a time max. You will burn out before then. Do a quick Google search for what may be your interests. There is no way you could see the entire museum in a week even.

Sometimes I travel to London only to pay a visit to the British Museum. This is an amazing place, and you should be prepared to visit only parts of it at a time. Take the hall of enlightenment. That hall alone would be a very important museum by itself. So take 1 max 2 hours pick 1-2 rooms and spend your time there, do not try to cover everything. The museum has a free entry, you can come back another time and see some other parts as well.
Sadly, the special exhibitions, are IMHO usually not worth the price they are asking. It is probably unfair to compare it to everything else that is outside, but as a tourist visiting London, there is so much to explore in the museum, that you will not really miss all that much if you do not go to the special exhibitions.
The northern entrance is usually less crowded so you can get through the (frankly ridiculous) security checks faster.

OMG, it's massive and has things I've read about like the Elgin Marbles and Rosetta stone. Must see and then come back and see again. Special exhibits are good too. The restaurant was expensive and had a small range of items to eat.

This is a lovely place --- with very friendly and efficient staff, small but super clean rooms and bathroom, generous English breakfast, and wonderfully central location close to the British Museum and many options for public transport.
Perfect location: walking distance to many attractions: Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Covent Garden, the British Museum, etc. It's literally on a historical street itself, you will see tour guides stopping by your very door giving tours. The apartment itself is exceptional. We felt special staying there. Recommended.
Great location on Bloomsbury. Close to British Museum. Lovely English Charm in Breakfast area. Full English Breakfast included. Would stay here again and will ! Clean Hotel rooms weee comfortable and quite. Thanks Morgan Hotel for a brilliant stay !
The room was basic and clean. We had a room with no windows but we were only staying a night. Near St. Pancras Station. Decent walk to the British Museum.
We really like the location - we enjoyed morning coffee in Russell Square, found excellent restaurants in the same block (Japanese to the right, Turkish to the left, seafood across the street), and were very handy to the British museum. The theatre district was walkable.
Charming hotel which manages to be both quirky and nostalgic. Very friendly and attentive staff, our room was comfy, lovely bed, great selection of tv channels. Enjoyed the complimentary treats as well. Special mention to Omary, India and Mustafa who took good care of us, oh and Declan (we will take you up on that champagne when we come back!).
Overall, we had a great stay, enjoyed its location which is close to interesting restaurants and of course right next to the British Museum.
The location is great. It is in one of my favorite locations in London. It is close to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, British Museum, etc but it is quiet at night.
Convenient location near Russell Square tube station and the British Museum. Nice view of the park from our room. Good breakfast. Lovely Indian restaurant located in the hotel.
Location was great, near Russell Square, British Museum, etc. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. Room was small but reasonably well organized. Basic kitchenette with equipment and dishes provided.
