Amazing place to be. Many bars and venue and great restaurants . You can definitely have most wonderful experience if you looking for people who are worm and welcome😊 I will definitely visit Temple bar again. These is a historical place. I ❤️ Temple bar especially on Christmas day.
Really full on and noisy . Too many tourists and I was kept awake until 4am. My first stay in Dublin was at Wren Urban Nest , heaps better location. Near all the free museums and hotel was beautiful. Around the corner from O'briens ( oldest pub in Dublin). Loved my stay there and also Hyatt Centric , The Liberties was great also.
Lovely spot - clean accommodations and exceptional staff … we left some medication behind - they were incredibly helpful and held it safely while we were away in the south. I would recommend taking a room in the front as the metal barrel collection and delivery happen in the back alley in the very very early hours of the morning
Stay out of the Temple Bar area. Its a drunken hole built to fleece tourists. The only place I would recommend is the fantastic Elephant and Castle. Only problem is you cannot book a table, but worth the wait. Get the bufallo wings. Best in Ireland.
Honestly as a local I'd say have one drink in Temple Bar, just so you can say you did and then go up George's Street Or Grafton Street where you will find bars the locals actually drink in. Temple bar is a tourist trap & a huge rip off.
Do not under any circumstances book the RiverHouse Hotel in Temple Bar on Eustace Street. It's a total dump. Don't let the pictures fool you. See the reviews on Booking. This place should be taken off Booking. It was a total ripoff at $212 a night. Also, be aware of drunken street people trying to hustle you.
The Arlington Hotel is in one of the best positions with it being situated on the "River Liffey" opposite "Temple Bar" and to be able to see everything in Dublin within walking distance. All the food and drink within the hotel is excellent and with customer service to match. The bar is great to comeback to and have a drink or two after a great day site seeing in and around Dublin or further a field. Rooms a decent size and beds are excellent. We had a room on the rear of the hotel was superb.
The location was great--right across the street from Christ Church Cathedral at the edge of Temple Bar. The hotel was a quick walk (slightly uphill) from Merchant's Quay stop on the Dublin Express bus from Dublin Airport. The area felt safe and the room was quiet. The staff were kind and there is a lift so getting luggage to and from the room was not difficult. Would definitely consider staying there in the future as the price was reasonable for a triple room.
The location of the hotel is right off of O'Connell street which is like the main area of the North Side of Dublin. It was right by a ton of great places and then the walk to the South Side was less than a mile. Temple Bar and a lot more of the pubs are on the South Side but I personally felt more of the fun shops were on the North Side.
Just on the edge of the Temple Bar area and close to many major sites, this is a good hotel at a fair price in an expensive city like Dublin. Good bar (with music) attached and many other places to eat and drink a few steps away. Easy access by bus to and from the airport. We would definitely stay here again.
The best thing about the hotel was the location. A half block off O'Connell Street and a short walk from Henry Street, the River Liffey, and the Temple Bar area. We were able to do everything we wanted to do in Dublin on foot and return our rental car a few days early.
Fantastic hotel in a very convenient part of Dublin, walkable from Temple Bar. I liked the fact that the hotel was quite clean and the staff was extremely helpful both in check in and check out and helping me find a taxi to get to the airport.
The hotel is located within easy walking distance of all the things we wanted to see and do in Dublin: Trinity, Temple Bar, Croke Park, the Epic museum, etc. The room was comfy and the staff very friendly.
great location in central dublin! the hotel is a few minutes walk from Temple Bar, and is a great place to stay for tourists who want to go by and check in at their room to freshen up during their visit.
Beautifully appointed hotel in Temple Bar, easy walking distance of everything in central Dublin. The room was very comfortable and the staff friendly.
walking the city, the pubs in the Temple Bar district, Guinness tour, and we took a bus tour to the Cliffs of Moher, fantastic day long tour with a fascinating guide
Book your hotel outside of the Temple Bar region - nice to enjoy while you're awake, not if you're trying to sleep
Visiting neighbourhoods such as the Temple Bar area especially on Saturdays with the food and craft markets
Dublin is a medium-size city so I would suggest to walk between the Temple Bar district, city centre and e.g. Phoenix Park. The walk between the PP and the centre should be 30-40 min one way for a moderate walker.
The temple bar Is really good place for drinking and dancing
All the bars in the temple bar area have live music. Traditional and modern. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with friendly bar staff too. Wonderful place for everyone
