It is a nice hike.
It is a nice hike. Gives peace to soul that you will get Mata ke darshan. But once you up there, the security/ police/ army so rude. Not helpful and understanding. Don't give proper instructions and then kick you out of line. VIP is the only channel. You pay money and get treated well. Otherwise you like a any low class get pushed. Plus they rush you through the darshan.

For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to...
For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to the Vaishno devi's darshan, use new Tarakote Marg. very calm and peaceful. But for your kid's pram, you need to arrange one by going to the Banganga entry point first and then hire a pithoo with stroller and take him with you to Tarakote checkpost.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel The Vaishvik. The location is very convenient, especially for visiting Vaishno Devi. The staff was polite, helpful and always ready to assist. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Had a comfortable stay at Ambalika aashray during our visit to Vaishno Devi Temple. The hotel’s location near the Yatra Parchi Counter made the journey very convenient for our family. Rooms were neat and decent, and the atmosphere was peaceful after a long travel day. Staff behaviour was polite and supportive whenever needed. A good budget-friendly option for devotees visiting Katra for Mata Vaishno Devi darshan.

Wow, this hotel was awesome! The staff were super friendly and on top of everything—any request we had, they handled it fast. The food was a total highlight! The breakfast and dinner were so good, and the chefs were amazing, whipping up tasty vegetarian dishes without onion or garlic, just how we wanted. Plus, they threw in a free drop-off to Vaishno Devi, which was such a nice bonus. Totally recommend this place for a great stay!

The hotel is very good. The service is high-quality, everything is clean and comfortable. Good, caring and responsive staff. Only the view from our room was on the railway station, we did not like it very much, it would have been nicer to have a room with a view of the Vaishno Devi Temple. We did not ask to change the room, since we came to go through the Yatra, and not to look at the view from the window. But if someone really cares about the view from the window, then of course a room with a view of the mountain and the Temple is better.

Marriot hotel and spa in Katra is amazing. The service as soon as we arrived was perfect and they accommodated some changes to our room. I must give a special mention to the food and the restaurant team. Vishal and all the chefs made such a wonderful buffet selection and the waiting staff were also great. I would recommend this as a place to stay especially if you are visiting Vaishno Devi.

We stayed for 2 nights here and the stay was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet spread is more than enough with some cooked to order options as well. Room service is available and very handy when you don’t want to go out of the room. The room including the bed was comfortable with a great view of the Vaishno Devi mountain. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit vaishno devi for darshan or even otherwise.

This hotel makes my stay almost feel like home. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. This is my 2nd trip to Vaishno Devi Temple and will continue to utilse this hotel for my up and coming trips to Vaishno Mandir always!

Amit Ji was very supportive. Hotel was clean and very near to main market and Vaishno Devi Entry Point. Food was very delicious. Staff and Services are very prompt and friendly. Overall the property is a must stay if you are visiting Vaishno Devi.

Clean and spacious room with all the amenities. One of the best hotels we stayed in Jammu. Staffs were very accommodating- they offered us a free ride to the entry point of Vaishno Devi and catered to our almost every request.
