Corso italia is the main street that goes straight through the main Sorrento Square, the Piazzo Tasso. One end has the train station and the traffic is extremely busy and a bit scary, the other end (keeping the statue of San Antonio at your back and the restaurant Fauro to your left) is much nicer. All the lovely windy streets lead off this end and lead you down towards the Cloisters and the lift to the port from where you can get the boat to Capri and the Amalfi coast. In the evening this end of the Corso Italia is closed off for many hours to traffic. it is full of lovely shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. I would recommend staying in this end of the Corso Italia. Sorento is very easy to get around and a lovely place however there are very very few signs/indications of where to go/streets etc so don't get in a panic, take your time to explore and enjoy. The food is amazing and there is plenty to do and see.
Too touristy and in a bad way. Cheap and low quality merchandise. Mediocre food. However, prices are much higher than Rome and Sienna. I would not come back to Sorrento. If you have never been, don't bother. Not worth the money nor effort.
Starting from the warm welcome of Mauricio the owner by helping us with our luggages and giving us all the necessary tips. The location of the apartment is right in the middle of Corso Italia, where everything is happening. As for the apartment it definitely deserves a 5 stars hotel rating. Newly renovated and decorated in a modern way, all amenities are there. Mauricio thought about all the small details, even the fridge is fully loaded. Basically all the things that you might want to buy for your own home.
The place was clean, charming yet stylish, homey, and the location at Corso Italia could not be more perfect! The big window with balcony overlooking the main piazza and main street is such a big bonus. But what makes this place so special was our hosts, Bruno and the wonderful lady who cooked breakfast in the morning. The minute we met Bruno, he made us felt like we were a part of his family.
We loved everything about Casa Lucia. Especially the garden, grounds and the pool area. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great and so was the location. So close to the Grand Marina and Corso Italia for shopping and restaurants. But the best part was the local Salumeria right down the street with phenomenal cheese, salami, wine, bread and Italian specialties.
Location, location!! Right on Corso Italia in the middle of everything! Sooo happy with that. The common area was adorable, love all the colored doors and our room was sweet. Large bathroom, small shower stall and little balcony to the street. Breakfast was amazing! Way more than I expected! Eggs, meat, cheese, breads, donuts, croissants, coffee/espresso, juice, yogurt. Wow!
The owner was very nice and welcoming. The location is really next to sorrento corso italia the main touristic street. Parking on site for a fee as annonced was convenient. The room was really a decent size with kitchenette and big bathroom. Cute little balcony where we could seat 2 people. Walking distance to evrything needed.
106 Room 2 overlooked Corso Italia, 1-2 min walk to Piazza Tasso. Some pedestrian noise and church bells, but I found the bells beautiful. Room with twin beds faces inside, no street noise. Giovanni was very attentive and helps with tours. Loved our stay.
Location was great! Close to beaches, marina (boats to Capri), as well as Corso Italia. Host was very warm, available and friendly. Offered good advice. Great location for families, clean with lots of space.
Host met with us, so it was convenient. Had a good view of the sunset. Spacious and some rooms are equipped with aircon. Location is at Corso Italia street so it’s very near shops.
Great value for money. large and comfortable room, great bathroom, fantastic location right off the west end of Corso Italia.
