The suite was really really amazing! The best place I ever stayed at. We initially booked the other suite, but they gave us an upgrade to the river suite. The view on the Ijssel was amazing, the room is so big and the bath is wonderful. I would truly recommend everybody to stay here. You are in the city center already and Deventer is a very cute city.

It’s a truly beautiful hotel on a great location. Breakfast was delicious but what most stand out was the exceptional service!

The place was adorable you can feel the vibe of XIXth century . Definitely not typical hotel. If you look for something unique , well you couldn’t have done better. And what is more - the hotel staff in Victorian styled clothes complete the whole picture.

The room was exceptionally clean, snacks were reasonably priced, the staff was polite and helpful and the building looked really nice.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a sparkling well equipped bathroom. The large restaurant had a very good menu with friendly, English-speaking staff. the beds was comfortable with marvellous pillows. There is plenty of parking space right by the hotel and a terrace to sit out in the sunshine. The surroundings are lovely. We will return!

Excellent food, and staff that were eager to recommend (very tasty) wines. Check-in was very simple and the rooms were very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower too :P

Stylishly renovated old colonial planters villa. 5-star experience and an exceptional host who understands hospitality to the core. It's all in the details. Everything is right in this place! Rooms and breakfast were both perfect. Personalised service.

An absolutely fantastic stay! The host was excellent - very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The facilities are spotless and have everything you could possibly need, just like a real home. The breakfast was wonderful - fresh, varied, and delicious. A truly unique and unforgettable experience sleeping in a converted airplane. Highly recommended!

Solid design and luxuriously appointed room. The gourmet dinner at their restaurant was excellent - staff very amenable to our child's request for a shorter-coursed meal with mixing of the menu items. Lovely walk right opposite the hotel just before our long car journey home.

We had a wonderful stay at Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of food and drinks. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily stay here again!

The breakfast was excellent - breads, yoghurt, plenty of fruit. The location is fantastic - in a quaint, period building with lots of old pictures and a room stuffed with old Dutch period items. The bathroom was fine. Hortance was very helpful as she was servicing a group of us who traveled there for work. We appreciated her flexibility in allowing 2 other couples in our group, staying in a different hotel, to eat breakfast there (for a reasonable fee).
