Good hotel with nice and clean room overlooking the nearby mountains, lake and river. The hotel was situated just at the edge of Odda at a lake. This hotel is an ideal “base camp “ if you want to hike to the Trolltunga. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the parking lot P2. The restaurant also served well prepared and delicious meals.

Second time visit here, I'll say the yard is one of the best spot of hardanger fjord. Renovated room is very clean and huge. Also with coffee/tea facilities and a fridge, which used to have none. Like it very much. Had three nights buffet dinner. The qarm dishes and pastries changed daily. Has a huge variety of seafood and pastries. Comparing to last time I visited, the food imporved a lot. But I do missed the harp live performance. The basement (ground floor) changed but still have a lot to explore. You can find lots of stories belonging to Edvard Grieg and history of this hotel there. There are also several seating area, each with different kinds of feeling. The atmosphere is fantastic. I tried playing my instrument in one of the area in a rainy day and love it.

Fantastic location with views of the mountains, fjords and on the river. The chalet had everything you could have asked for and was priced very fairly. Ample parking outside of the property for those travelling with a car. A great find with very easy check in out of hours! I would definitely recommend - perfect for a larger group/family stay!

It's Ok, if your goal is only Trolltunga. Because Start off the trip is so nearly from the apartment. Aprx 20 Minutes. Also the appointment has an amazing view to the Fjord For a few days it's Ok for 2 couple of friends or 2 small families. Because the Underground and the 1st floor have separated sleep and bad rooms

The hotel is perfect to anybody planning to hike Trolltunga, right at the feet of the mountain. It is also 10 minutes by car to Odda which have most restaurants in the area. The jacuzzi and the sauna are clean, very relaxing after a hike. The staff is also amazing and very helpful! If you have no gear for the hike, you can rent from the hotel (the gear was perfectly fine, very comfortable boots.

The apartment was clean and functional and the bed was comfortable. There were good views from the windows towards the mountains, fjord and waterfalls. The location is convenient for the Trolltunga hike and for getting to the Bondhusvatnet hike which is about 30 minutes drive. There was free car parking about 100 metres down the hill from the apartments but you were able to take the car up for loading/unloading of luggage.

Fantastic hostel with free access to the Tyssedal Hotel’s sauna and jacuzzi. The bus stop for the Trolltunga hike is literally a minute walk away. The kitchen was very clean and equipped with everything we needed to cook meals and prepare lunches for the hike. The dorms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom was cleaned daily. Highly recommend!

Amazing view! Staff were able to answer all my questions about Trolltunga. At the time of stay the sister hotel was offering free sauna and jacuzzi visit which was awesome

We have one night since we need to drive from Flåm to Stavanger, then we picked this middle cut. However, we noticed later this hotel is the starting point of Trolltunga. That is the reason the hotel is quite expensive since there is not so many choices.

Great to have an apartment and freely move around doing things as we needed. Perfect location for getting bus to Trolltunga hike. Very easy check in. We were able to hire a large backpack from the sister hotel who were very friendly.
