Lovely hotel that is perfectly situated to Trolltunga. You can rent hiking equipment here and it is only a 20 min drive to the P3 car park. They also provide packed lunch / packed breakfast for your hike, which is very nice and thoughtful gesture. The food at the restaurant was also surprisingly good - we had the apple cake and steak and it was delicious. The room was very spacious and the shower was piping hot and powerful, which is great after a long hike. we had a nice view of the fjord from our room. the breakfast selection was excellent!! very good hot options with awesome pasta and sausages and also a wide array of toppings that you can use to pack your lunch for Trolltunga.

Right on the fjord and the views from the bar and restaurant are stunning. I could just sit and watch the day pass with this gorgeous view. I really loved the local cider that is served here and served in a wine glass which just makes it more special. The room was so comfortable. I got one with a view of the fjord and it was just the best to chill and watch the water move through. Breakfast was brilliant. Such a great spread and they do cater for gluten free just give them a bit of notice. The resturant for lunch and dinner were just as brilliant. I enjoyed everything. I stored luggage as I did an overnight hike and when I came back I got to use the dry room to dry out my boots and socks (I could have launder my clothes too but I was too tired). This place had everything you need for your trip to the fjords.

The view, the quirkiness, the fact our kids could slide on the site was a highlight! We used our drone from a higher point, 15 min walk from the cottage to film the kids and the view was absolutely amazing! The fjord was stunning! We found food at the local supermarket only a few minutes away by foot. The service station makes nice coffee which I grabbed early morning and off i went for a walk, full snow and freezing temp but it was a delight!

The hotel is perfect to anybody planning to hike Trolltunga, right at the feet of the mountain. It is also 10 minutes by car to Odda which have most restaurants in the area. The jacuzzi and the sauna are clean, very relaxing after a hike. The staff is also amazing and very helpful! If you have no gear for the hike, you can rent from the hotel (the gear was perfectly fine, very comfortable boots.

The apartment was clean and functional and the bed was comfortable. There were good views from the windows towards the mountains, fjord and waterfalls. The location is convenient for the Trolltunga hike and for getting to the Bondhusvatnet hike which is about 30 minutes drive. There was free car parking about 100 metres down the hill from the apartments but you were able to take the car up for loading/unloading of luggage.

Fantastic hostel with free access to the Tyssedal Hotel’s sauna and jacuzzi. The bus stop for the Trolltunga hike is literally a minute walk away. The kitchen was very clean and equipped with everything we needed to cook meals and prepare lunches for the hike. The dorms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom was cleaned daily. Highly recommend!

Amazing view! Staff were able to answer all my questions about Trolltunga. At the time of stay the sister hotel was offering free sauna and jacuzzi visit which was awesome

We have one night since we need to drive from Flåm to Stavanger, then we picked this middle cut. However, we noticed later this hotel is the starting point of Trolltunga. That is the reason the hotel is quite expensive since there is not so many choices.

Great to have an apartment and freely move around doing things as we needed. Perfect location for getting bus to Trolltunga hike. Very easy check in. We were able to hire a large backpack from the sister hotel who were very friendly.

Super good apartment (inside) with a nice view. 4 bedrooms can accommodate 8 people at max. There are 3 Smart TVs with YouTube, 2 in the bedrooms. Outside under the process of renovation. At a 1st glance it looks a bit abandoned from outside, but when you enter everything is in perfect condition and clean. It was a great spot to stay before the Trolltunga hike, however we couldn't make it due to the weather conditions.
