Amazing place to stay. Completely remodeled and very nice. In the center of all downtown shops and 1 block from beach. Only caveat is that there is no parking garage and there is only paid street parking.

Impressed with this hotel: our room, staff, breakfasts, evening meals, underground parking (at$15pn). Breakfasts consisted of a good continental spread plus an individually prepared hot meal. I can't remember if the latter was included or whether I had prepaid. It did mean the breakfast was hot and not a possible lukewarm meal from a bain-marie. The hotel was just a little way from "town" (but not very far) and there was a Pac'n Save supermarket just over the road for nibbles and drinks. This was my second visit to Napier mainly to look at art deco commercial buildings (with Hastings also a must & possibly even a better example). I doubt there will be a 3rd visit (only because of age) but the hotel is now part of a Group and I would certainly consider those other hotels if they fall within my travel plans. Also by joining the free membership you get a good discount from meals etc.

I liked that there was a pool and playground. It was close to splash planet and a quick drive to the cbd. The room is spacious. There was a big fridge in our room as well which was good for storing food.

The rooms, kitchen and the bathroom were all clean and tidy. It had a lot of facilities too and the overall motel was nice. I was especially so happy about the motel being near the places we wanted to visit (Te Mata Peak and the Splash Planet).

The house was incredible and spacious for my family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens and a 9 year old). Would recommend to all visiting Sunny Hastings for the short or long stays. Close to amenities and most food outlets. With splash planet just around the corner it'll be an easy decision to make a booking at this fabulous 10/10 home.
