Kitchen Story might be the best place to get a decadent brunch in the entire world! Go all out and order the Millionaire bacon, a great omelette and of course Mimosa's. You will be ruined forever. Nothing will ever compare to this little piece of heaven. Unfortunately it is probably closed right now but you can probably order for pickup.
It will be hard to find parking but, once you do it is an easy walk around the area. Ask locals where they like to eat. We went to Hamburger Mary's. I have to say that the Hollywood location has better food but, over all it's fun if you want to see some drag queens. I was told by a local that there are better drag locations to go to. The people are amazing every where we went which made it the best part of the experience.
This was absolutely a must! We did the walking tour with Kathy - Historical Walking Tour of San Francisco's Gay & Lesbian District. She was the best tour guide I have met in that she made personal contact with each member of quite large group ensuring everyone felt welcome and a part of the tour. Her knowledge, humour and depth of understanding of the poignant history of this area provided such an interesting and heartwarming experience.
San Francisco is rebound for the 🏳️🌈 movement. There is so much to learn about the struggles of the past and see how the city becomes so vibrant in June for pride. I strongly recommend a cosmo in the cocktail bar twin peaks
Still the place to visit if you belong to the LGTB community. Has become a little too mixed/integrated with the straight community for my taste but it's noce to visit. The Edge bar has a great drag show Sat afternoons and two for one drinks.
Love this sunny place. Visit Flore for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food is great. The outdoor patio is beautiful and great for people watching and relaxing. Oh, and the bartender makes THE best cocktails.
Located in the beautiful Castro district. There is a grocery store just down the street. Rooms are small but comfortable. I felt safe there. There are a few rooms with private baths. These have updated and are quite nice. It cost me about $11 for the upgrade. There is a room heater which works well. The WIFI provided works great. There is no additional fee for this. Staff are wonderful.
Hayes Street Shops are local artists, Castro Street shops - dog outfits and gay friendly items great variety stores with lots of stuff, Union Street Shops - upmarket - handbags, sport stores and Chesnut Street - great food shops
