This is not an AI-written review. True to its name, the Amway Grand is an opulent, stunning hotel in the heart of Grand Rapids. Its architectural style is French classical and baroque, a remnant of the time it was The Paintlind Hotel until 1981. You see the gold leaf-lined ceiling in the lobby. The rooms are grand and exceptionally clean. The customer service is excellent. Valet parking was efficient. You have access to The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, Rendezvous bar, Ruth's Steakhouse and a Starbucks all within the extensive hotel. They also have a beautiful gift shop and a boutique. They are also pet-friendly.

Being by the GR river... having a room with a view of the water.... the pleasant attendants of the valet service... reception staff ... early check-in ...( no waiting around) 🤗🤗🤗

They put all my anxiety at ease by letting us know of road closures, and their shuttle service was fantastic. Super sweet drivers. And an A++ for their restaurant Burger Theory

This was the first hotel I have stayed in where I walked in and immediately felt comfortable. I actually slept in this hotel room and felt at home. It felt more like a cool bedroom suite not a "hotel" room which are all pretty typically the same. I can never get comfortable, but this time I felt at home and at ease. The bedding was different than other hotels too and I didn't feel like I needed to take the blankets off before sleeping. I just got cozy. Also loved the little added touch of the personalized welcome on the TV screen upon entering! Made us feel special!

The location was very convenient and the hotel was quite beautiful. Towels were lush and plentiful in the room, fridge, coffee machine, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board provided. The hotel is large at 7 stories, and we found the hallways were very quiet - no rowdy guests in hallways or other issues. Was it not busy, or was soundproofing better? When we asked if we could change rooms for the second night to the other side of the building due to highway noise, the staff were very accommodating and moved us without any bother. They upgraded us, but it was not necessary. The new room had a wall thermostat so this made it much easier to adjust the temperature and the air system was not as noisy as the previous room. The bed was also more comfortable. Front desk staff also cheerfully provided a map for us to find a nearby grocery store. Parking lot was convenient. The hotel has an Indian restaurant and a Starbucks. We didn't have the chance to try either, unfortunately, but we wanted to.

I love their facilities, and I love that they are functioning 24 hours, so you can check in anytime and have a snack at the snack bar at any time.

Proximity to everything, we attended a concert at the Van Andel and the walk was fast, and restaurants were close.

Was very relaxing room fresh smelling and comfy! Had a lot to offer refrigerator, stove, microwave, big comfy bed and big bathroom. Loved the location would stay again

Having stayed at CityFlats before, I knew what to expect. My room did not disappoint! The hotel itself is close to event venues, which is why I like to stay here. In this particular case, I did not have to walk to Acrisure, however, looking up the distance, I would have been able to manage it.

Friendly warm welcome from the staff from checking in, to breakfast and to evening drinks. Clean and exceptionally well kept room and hotel.

Room rate was reasonable, it was easy on easy off the expressway, bonus that breakfast was included. Room was clean, lobby had really nice furniture and fixtures, parking was easy
