The staff! They were incredibly helpful and responsive. Also, everything was new and working well (the shower in particular, appreciated the water pressure too). Also, for exploring the historic part of Philly, it's very very well located.

It's dwarfed by the buildings around it, but at least...

It's dwarfed by the buildings around it, but at least there's space in front these days for a great picture. The visitors centre is across the road and the Liberty Bell has its own place in the building next door.

Independence Hall was an amazing historical site and well...

Independence Hall was an amazing historical site and well worth visiting. Be aware that, as with many government sites, you need passes ahead with a date and timed entry. And, even if you are late for entry, check with the staff, you may still be able to get in. One of the great things about Old Philadelphia is that a lot of attractions are walkable from the Hall, so take advantage of it.

This is an apartment hotel where you self check-in, you have access to fresh linen/towels, the room is not serviced daily like a hotel, but you have cooking and washing facilities which is great if you are travelling for longer periods. It was excellent value for money for 6 days compared to the prices of hotels nearby. We could actually walk to the PMA in 30 minutes and the Independence Hall in 30 minutes so if you are a walker, the location is quite central.

The tour of Independence Hall was an awesome sight to see.

The tour of Independence Hall was an awesome sight to see. Very informative, wish it could have been longer. Also, the Ben Franklin Museum was a hit with the whole family - 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 - (almost) 5 year old.
