Overall the hotel is in a great location off of King St but it is also hard to find. Kind of cool but annoying for Ubers. The lobby is nice and well laid out. The room was a great size.

The best part about Charleston is all the history.

The best part about Charleston is all the history. The buildings, house streets they all have so much character. The entire city is beautiful. You can shop, sightsee, or just sit along the shoreline. Not to mention the amazing food. so many restaurants and never enough time to eat at all of them.

With only 24 hours in Charleston, we visited during the Southern heatwave of July 2025 so hot weather curbed our activities. With temperatures of 100F and 87% humidity it was too hot to do many of the things we would have liked. However a carriage ride around the French Quarter, with Palmetto Carriages' knowledgeable driver Elliot, gave us a taste of this historical district. Would recommend Anson Cafe (actually a big restaurant) near the market. Lovely food and excellent service. And of course, the French Quarter Inn. Spend time in the four buildings of The Market and buy authentic Benne Wafers from Southern Sisters.

We were interested in history and food, and we were immersed in both. Saw Ft. Sumpter, an antebellum mansion and a plantation. What was expected. Also got to crawl thru a WWII destroyer and the aircraft carrier Yorktown. So many restaurants made choices hard.

It was fun shopping at The Market and King Street. It was nice seeing the Pineapple Fountain and Rainbow Row. We visited The Boone Plantation and loved it. Highly recommend eating at Church and Union. It was beautiful. Hyman's Seafood was also really good. We did not rent a car. We either walked or ordered an uber.

July is a super hot time of year to visit.

July is a super hot time of year to visit. However we were always close to AC or the ocean, which made it bearable. Downtown area is nice with several shops, parks, and historical buildings. The beach (we went to Isle of Palms) wasn’t too crowded and we were close by to Shem creek with a nice boardwalk and great restaurants. There’s multiple ways to get around and tour the city such as horse drawn carriage, boats and busses.

Charleston is one of those cities that feels like it needs a full week to truly soak in its charm—but even a short weekend trip can be unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the mix of beach vibes, historic streets, and incredible food made it clear why this city is such a beloved destination. We kicked things off in Shem Creek, a perfect spot to ease into the weekend. Dinner at Nico’s was a standout—fresh seafood, cozy ambiance, and a great start to our culinary tour. Afterward, we wandered to Red’s Ice House and a few other nearby bars, soaking in the waterfront views and lively atmosphere. Most of Saturday was spent basking in the sun at Sullivan’s Island, a laid-back beach with a local feel. Lunch at The Longboard was a hit—especially the fish spread, burgers, and refreshing açaí bowls. Late night, we headed downtown for dinner at Felix, where French comfort food met Southern hospitality. The vibe was perfect for a post-show wind-down. We wrapped up the night with drinks at The Ordinary, where the exceptionally crafted cocktails and stylish ambiance made for a perfect nightcap. Before heading out, we stopped at Bodega for breakfast. The Nutella shaken espresso was exceptional—just what we needed to finish off the trip. Charleston is a paradise for food lovers, beachgoers, and anyone who appreciates a mix of history and modern charm. With so much to do—from the low country landscapes to the vibrant downtown—it’s tough to fit it all into one weekend. But every moment was worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast was wonderful as we had it both mornings of our stay out in the patio, which was very nice! The staff was very attentive, and breakfast took no time at all to be served. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I’m sorry we only had three days and two nights stay in Charleston but will be Back soon and plan to stay at your inn again and look to more of the historic downtown Charleston. Thanks again Mark and Maureen from Cape Cod

The flat was great in every way. It had everything I needed and was very stylish. I loved the little gift the property left when I first checked in. The location is perfect for bars and restaurants in the evening but it is a 30min walk from the historic downtown. And parking is not great in Charleston so if you want to save on parking charges be prepared to walk or get a taxi.
