Fantastic location adjacent to the beach, a nice stroll 1 mile) to the small centre of Carmel. The property also offers to drive you there and back if you prefer. Room was spacious and modern, the outside breakfast was delightful, staff couldn’t have been more attentive and pleasant. Great location for the 17-mile drive. A true gem on our West Coast road trip

We loved everything about this property! The attention to fine detail in the rooms, the cookie delivery, the breakfast, the snug cosy lounge area with fire place and the outdoor seating area too!

Location and the hotel grounds are very beautiful. Perfect for nature lovers.

Everything was great. Location is in the center of the city. Monterey is well worth a visit.

Quality of everything and service.

We arrived early and the staff were really accommodating by allowing us to leave our bags/ car until our room was ready while we went out. The room was clean, spacious and a huge bed! Nice bar area for a drink in the evening with friendly bar staff. Nice gym and pool area too.

Do not come here if you want swanky smart modern. But if you want clean comfortable good value with easy parking this place is a gem. The buffet breakfast was excellent (waffles and banana a real winner with some of our group) and the wine in the evenings a winner with others. There is also a great restaurant the Fish Wife a short walk from the property, and you can connect with great electric bike tours with Big Sur Adventures.

Quaint, old style building. Pool, hot tub and sauna. The staff were really great, very helpful and friendly. Fireplace in room was great.

Very clean, lovely staff, everything was easy.

Everything was amazing. The staff was very-friendly. It's a very nice, cozy, and even though there are airplanes flying above us, it's very quiet. It's in a great position. It's close to the city centre and to all of the shops and markets or any restaurants near it.

Another great stay at Hofsas. We arrived during an electricity issue for the whole town. The hotel let us know in advance via phone to make sure we still wanted to stay. They were so helpful! Providing flashlights for our rooms, breakfast/coffee/tea in the morning and all staff were so professional during the stay. They were dealing with a stressful time - they met it with courtesy, efficiency and kindness. Perfect location for a quiet spot that is close to downtown, and the beach. Safe and easy parking option on-site. Dogs are allowed.

We booed with booking.com but the images of the room did not correlate to the room booked so we had a much smaller room the expected. However as soon as we could be moved, we was. The staff were amazing and the manager Alan Perez was exceptional at customer services. The breakfast was great too!

Excellent, superb, wow... Though it was a bit costly but that's ok... Since it has everything what we wanted and much more than that😁. Check in check out procedure was extremely easy and convenient. That's besides the excellent facilities provided in Stephanson luxury villa that we stayed. Would love to come back aane I'm proud of myself for choosing the right accommodations across USA 😁😬

Lovely furnishings and comfortable beds.

We enjoyed the spa and fire pit outdoors , refillable water station was handy. Location is amazing - walking distance to all nice restaurants. Room is beautiful and overall it was a great last stop of our 3 weeks US trip! Special thanks to the lady at reception on Saturday 23/09 (sorry didn’t note the name). When we asked about early check out process the next day, she took care of our breakfast even though we didn’t specifically ask for it but she wanted to make sure we are not hungry before our early morning road trip to San Francisco :) All the cleaning ladies were very friendly as well, always smiling
