Great. Go there for nice fotos of the city, the bay , Alcatraz, the seals and their noice. If you accept restaurants with "special prices" sometimes called something else , then go for it ( or not).
Be ready for crowds and a tourist spot. That being said there are a lot of dining options for every budget, shopping is what you would expect. Take the time to walk around the area and get an Irish coffee!
Very nice Pier. Full of restaurants and shops. The quality of the restaurants there though is not always the best. You can look for the sea lions at the end of it. You will see them lying very close.
It's a must visit in SF., lots to see and do, enjoy the cool breeze from the bay and the spectacular views as far as the eye can see. Have to eat at any of the many places that offer clam chowder in sourdough bowl, Boudins it's a local tradition!
Tourist trap. No redeemable quality with the exception of the aquarium. It is not as big as one in GGPARK but it is the perfect size and takes as much time as one would naturally want to spend in an aquarium. Get and use coupons.
Love the whole market feel bustling with tourists and small shops and the pier filled with boats! I tried the mini donuts covered in cinnamon sugar and they were yum! Don’t miss the largest chocolate only shop there..it’s quite crazy!
Perfect location, you can walk to the pier 39. They also have tours you can book across the street to go to wine country. The breakfast was amazing! They had a huge buffet with Starbucks coffee, bacon, eggs, pancakes they even had a gluten free section that had gluten free muffins, bread etc. With a toaster for gluten free bread only. Definitely will return to this hotel again.
Marina District, San Francisco
Location in a good quarter the the city. room at the second level very clean good equipped as expected. Free parking on site. Kind person at the reception. good experience in general. In the middle of Golden gate bridge, Pier 39, Can go by foot discovering the city. lots of restaurant 2 streets from there.
The location was perfect. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Cable Car Turnaround, Lombard Street, and "Little Italy". The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The free parking was a huge bonus!
Bed and linens were very comfortable. Location was walking distance to pier 39 and great restaurants. Every staff member was extremely attentive and eager to please. We will definitely be back and recommend the hotel to friends and family.
great location walking distance to pier 39 and the Italian market. the cable cars are just blocks away. Ghirardelli Square is also within walking distance. I will definitely stay there again if I ever go back to San Francisco
Great location, walking distance of PIER 39 during the day. Great room, clean, organized, worth it. I will probably book again when I go back to San Francisco.
Elevator was broken but was able to get a room on the first floor. Front desk was nice. Breakfast was good. Very close to Pier 39 and other attractions.
We really liked the location near Pier 39 and how new and clean the hotel is. Also, found the valet service personnel to be very polite.
The location was great, close to the Wharf & Pier 39. Breakfast was good, and I could find something to eat.
There are so many different parts to the city, with quirky places best found on foot - from walking along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, to huffing and puffing up Hyde St to Lombard St for the view, then down the Crooked St, then round the streets of Chinatown with its unusual foods and cheap gift shops, down to Union Square expensive stores and restaurants - and of the course the famous cable cars, which you can get from Market Street. And why not try breakfast at Lefty O'Doul's in Geary Street, with lots of memorabilia around the walls about this famous baseball player, manager and coach - even if you've not heard of him (we hadn't!).
Friendly people, street entertainment, shops, great atmosphere at Fisherman's Wharf especially Pier 39.
Get up early (0700). We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves. Most places not open but had breakfast at Denny's in the Holiday Inn. We hired a bike and cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and got the ferry back.
San Francisco offers a diverse range of food. Great Italian food is available at North Beach (or Little Italy), local cafes situated through the city offer delicious brunch, huge range of seafood dishes at Fisherman's Wharf etc
