Great. Go there for nice fotos of the city, the bay , Alcatraz, the seals and their noice. If you accept restaurants with "special prices" sometimes called something else , then go for it ( or not).
Be ready for crowds and a tourist spot. That being said there are a lot of dining options for every budget, shopping is what you would expect. Take the time to walk around the area and get an Irish coffee!
Very nice Pier. Full of restaurants and shops. The quality of the restaurants there though is not always the best. You can look for the sea lions at the end of it. You will see them lying very close.
It's a must visit in SF., lots to see and do, enjoy the cool breeze from the bay and the spectacular views as far as the eye can see. Have to eat at any of the many places that offer clam chowder in sourdough bowl, Boudins it's a local tradition!
Tourist trap. No redeemable quality with the exception of the aquarium. It is not as big as one in GGPARK but it is the perfect size and takes as much time as one would naturally want to spend in an aquarium. Get and use coupons.
Love the whole market feel bustling with tourists and small shops and the pier filled with boats! I tried the mini donuts covered in cinnamon sugar and they were yum! Don’t miss the largest chocolate only shop there..it’s quite crazy!
THE ONLY THING I REALLY LIKE ABOUT THE INN ON BROADWAY 01}IS THAT THERE ROOMS ARE A GREAT SIZE FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR. 02} THE LOCATION IS ACTUALLY PREFECT, GET TO SHOW MY CHILDREN THE HIGH I'VE ATTENDED "GALILEO HIGH SCHOOL". 03} THE HOTEL LOCATION "INN ON BROADWAY" IS ALSO A GREAT WALK DOWN TO FORT MASON, FISHERMEN WORTH, PIER 39 & ETC.
Hotel Zephyr is a great location for touring pier 39 and Fisherman's wharf. We loved our stay there and with so much to do at the hotel it was sometime hard to decide if we were going to go sight seeing or hang out at the hotel LOL We will definitely look to stay here again when we go back to San Francisco
I really enjoy the location of this place. It is pretty close to local shops, pier 39, and more. The 2nd room we stayed at was pretty comfy overall. Nice clean room. A huge plus for me is the free parking! Definitely hard to find in SF. I would consider coming back here again :)
Location, location, location! One block off the water. Pier 39 just a few blocks south & pier 41 one block north. FREE parking! No other hotel offers that! We had a great view of Coit Tower and the city right out our window.
Hotel was lovely staff was great surrounding areas was amazing , china town walking distance, Pier 39 about a mile away literally in the middle of everything can't wait to go back.
Great location. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Short car ride to Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz tours/Pier 39/Fisherman Wharf
Clean, newly renovated hotel and rooms. Close to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Breakfast choices and quality very good. Very courteous staff.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Just off of Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Couldn't have been better
Location, Plenty activities to do.pier 39. Lombard street drive. Golden gate Bridge, beautiful scenery😃
It was walking distance to Pier 39
There are so many different parts to the city, with quirky places best found on foot - from walking along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, to huffing and puffing up Hyde St to Lombard St for the view, then down the Crooked St, then round the streets of Chinatown with its unusual foods and cheap gift shops, down to Union Square expensive stores and restaurants - and of the course the famous cable cars, which you can get from Market Street. And why not try breakfast at Lefty O'Doul's in Geary Street, with lots of memorabilia around the walls about this famous baseball player, manager and coach - even if you've not heard of him (we hadn't!).
Friendly people, street entertainment, shops, great atmosphere at Fisherman's Wharf especially Pier 39.
Get up early (0700). We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves. Most places not open but had breakfast at Denny's in the Holiday Inn. We hired a bike and cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and got the ferry back.
San Francisco offers a diverse range of food. Great Italian food is available at North Beach (or Little Italy), local cafes situated through the city offer delicious brunch, huge range of seafood dishes at Fisherman's Wharf etc
