They charge you even if you aren't riding any of the rides and only going to help chaperone several children in our family. I guess if you ride the rides it would be okay but think everything is very overpriced!

Check what time they open and park in the lot next to fish tales, get the day pass and have fun; trying to pay for individual rides is expensive (even for a toddler on the carousel and little kid rides, the day pass is worth it). I recommend eating at fish tales on the way out and getting your parking validated for the day.

Four Seasons on the Gulf

This was our 2nd time staying at FSOTG and as before everything was great. The location is great, as it is near many restaurants. Pleasure pier is a mile a way and downtown's maybe 8 minutes depending on your route. my wife and I truly enjoy FSOTG as it provides us with a easy access to our bikes, which is our preferred method of riding around Galveston. Also the staff is always very personable and happy to help with you needs. Yes, we will be returning again either in the fall or next year.

From $85 per nightWe read all the bad reviews so our only expectations were; no bed bugs, cold a/c, comfortable bed and working toilet and shower. They had all of that. It was $95 a night and you can’t beat the location, we were steps from the seawall, pleasure pier etc. That said, it was an old, run down, gross place, equivalent to motels in third world countries. The lady who ran the motel was pleasant ,we treated her with kindness and respect and she reciprocated.

Right on Seawall, facing the beach and two blocks from the Pleasure Pier; what a great location. Short walks to several good restaurants. The continental breakfast was minimal, but hey! fresh coffee and orange juice with a packaged pastry ain't a bad way to start the day in Galveston.
