United StatesHaving previously lived in Fort Lauderdale, I was skeptical, as most hotels in the area, including virtually all the name-brand ones, are substandard. However, my stay at Barley House far exceeded my expectations. The newly remodeled rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was much better than what you typically find in a hotel, and the staff were very friendly. Further, the pool is quite large, and the cabana area is relaxing. I travel to Fort Lauderdale frequently, and Barley House will now be my number 1 choice of hotels.

Extremely convenient to the Port Everglades cruise port and they offer shuttles through a third-party called Avanti (that is on the property from (10am to 2 PM each day) to the cruise port ($9 per person) as well as shuttles to the Fort Lauderdale airport. ($15?) And if the shuttles are full, Uber or Lyft are also very reasonable. The double rooms are very large and even a family of five fits comfortably.

25 minutes from port Everglades, comfortable beds, clean rooms and the sweetest staff I’ve met. Great value for your $$$ and will stay here again if we cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in the future.

it’s a 2 star motel, so remember you’re not going to stay at the Ritz. But you will get clean rooms, decent breakfast, very friendly staff and ideally located for that overnight stay before you cruise from Port Everglades.
