Having previously lived in Fort Lauderdale, I was skeptical, as most hotels in the area, including virtually all the name-brand ones, are substandard. However, my stay at Barley House far exceeded my expectations. The newly remodeled rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was much better than what you typically find in a hotel, and the staff were very friendly. Further, the pool is quite large, and the cabana area is relaxing. I travel to Fort Lauderdale frequently, and Barley House will now be my number 1 choice of hotels.

It was brand new and very clean. Staff was welcoming and helpful. The bar/restaurant was good. Has a shuttle which was great to getting to the Airport.
