Lodges in Shimla

We had an absolutely lovely time at Cedar Hill Lodge. They’ve recently renovated the property and the rooms are very comfortable with cute interiors and everything you need. The common room is cute and cozy, and they have an outdoor area where you can chill and work with great views of the mountains. There’s also an open deck where we spent time stargazing. The sunrise and moon rise from here are simply stunning. The chef Jogan whipped up some delicious meals for us, including very good continental food. The place is run by Atul and Garima, who were super helpful with recommendations around the area. Babloo took good care of us and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. Do note that the place is in Chharabra, about 25 minutes away from Shimla. For us this was an advantage since we wanted to be away from the crowds. There are some restaurants nearby serving good food. It’s just across the road from Wildflower Hall, and is also very close (walkable) to a temple and the Rashtrapati Niwas. There are nature trails. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with breathtaking views!

The pet friendly atmosphere and politeness of staff will make you forget about your own home. They all are well behaved and know how to please their guests. The quality and quantity of food was so generous and mouth watering. Rooms are so hygienic and clean. The stay in Jomotel dayaar was awesome and beautiful for me as well as my family. My pet, Brownie also had a lot of fun, she had so much space to play and the staff were also very pet friendly.
