Skiing is possible within the area and the lodge offers ski storage space. The location of this hotel and the view from our room dazzled us. We thought we'd died and gone to heaven. It was helpful to have a car to get to it, as we did, but one could easily use a taxi or Uber from the train station (may be costly though). That's part of why it is so beautiful--it is a ways above the town, very quiet, with absolutely stunning views in all directions. We could not have been more charmed. The host and his wife are lovely. We did not use the breakfast option, so cannot comment on that. But we loved having a kitchen with fridge and dishes. We made our own meals, as did others.

Breakfast was exceptional. Met my families needs and then some. will definitely be returning in future years.

Situated in Stalden, BlackRock offers a terrace with mountain and pool views, as well as a year-round outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. This lodge features free private parking, room service and free WiFi. Otto, fully stocked up the fridge with food and drinks. The wine fridge was stocked up and had champagne, prosecco, red and white wine. We didn't have to leave the place to go and buy food which saved us a lot of money! I am pescatarian and he provided salmon and fish fillet! There was veg and non veg food stocked up. He has a lot of seasoning too! It is a 15 min walk from Stalden-Saas station, however if Otto is around he will pick you up or drop you off. We came here as we wanted to do a pre-wed photo shoot. The owner has lots of connections including having a helipad on his property. So we did a Zermatt helicopter tour for 1,000 CHF. I would definitely come back with just me and my partner to relax as we were so busy with out photoshoot.

Located high on a rock overlooking Zermatt, Edelweiss Mountain Guest House - 1 hour hike up from Zermatt station - On hiking trail - No transport is a 1.5 hours walk from the town centre up a hiking trail. Only accessible on foot. It offers a sun terrace and restaurant open daily 9am-7pm. The property is so welcoming, the housing, the host, the location, the food and the overall experience. The view of the mountains feels surreal.

Super comfortable, well equipped apartment, centrally located in Pontresina (we just went out every morning for a walk to be greeted by the ibex in the Steinbock Promenade!)

The staff were fabulous - super friendly and helpful. The property was spotless, with panoramic views, and lovely wind down areas - nice bar, gaming areas, etc with beautiful Mountain View’s.
