We loved it. The design of the cabin was perfect for 2 couples. All the large windows facing the lake plus the outdoor patio was wonderful. Every night we watched the sunset. Just beautiful. Plus we had a little visitor, a fox!!!! It was one of our favorite places we stayed in Chili.

A 400 metri da Pablo Fierro Museum, Almabosque Cabañas propone sistemazioni con un giardino, una terrazza e il servizo in camera, che fa sempre comodo. The surroundings of the cabin are lovely. It feels like you are in a jungle with mature trees and ferns but in reality, you are in a secure garden just a few metres away from the main property. The cabin was tastefully furnished and we had a comfortable stay. The lake and restaurants are a few minutes away. We used the secure car park and walked to the city center which was about 15-20 minutes for us. The owner and his family are lovely people and quick to answer questions and requests.

Where do I start? This is an exceptional stay, the location is wonderful with the sea advancing underneath the property at high tide. The bird life is easy to spot from inside the cabin and the balcony is a good size to sit out in. You can stargaze from there at night. Inside the log burner keeps everything cozy and the kitchen is well equipped. There are shops within a 10 minute walk. Castro is easily accessible by local bus. If you don’t speak Spanish, the drivers are very helpful. Castro itself is a good visit with lots of shops and cafes and good views. The staff overcome language problems with ease simply with the desire for you to enjoy your stay. There are cats, chickens and a very engaging young dog. I don’t give 10/10s. This is a 10/10.

The staff is super friendly, caring, and have a lot of knowledge onthe surroundings - and the food we had at Peuma lodge (both breakfast and dinner) far exceeded our expectations and was the best food we had on our one month trip in the area
