We loved everything about this place. I found some great accommodation options in Nusa Penida and it was tough to decide which one to go with, but I'm SO glad we ended up staying at Marilea Bamboo Villas Concept. For once the Internet didn't lie - if anything actually the photos here don't do the villas justice at all. Each one is massive and incredibly well designed, the views are unbelievable and the staff are the nicest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. Also, in the morning you can see loads of monkeys hanging out in the trees at the end of the villas, which was so cool. Honestly, just hanging out at our villa was probably our favourite part of being on the island. And in the evening there's a free shuttle to an amazing sunset spot for dinner/drinks.

A very warm and cozy place to stay. The hotel has a calm, comfortable atmosphere and feels truly welcoming. Everything was clean and pleasant, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. The location is excellent — Kelingking Beach is only a 5-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient and makes the experience even more special. Special thanks to staff at the reception — he was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. His friendly attitude made us feel at home from the very first moment. We left with only warm memories and would happily stay here again.

This place is a hidden gem with a lovely pool and delicious breakfast. The staff was so nice and helpful, and we felt welcome right away! This is a little piece of paradise in the jungle. Almost felt like being in an imaginary world. Great atmosphere, incredibly welcoming staff as always in Bali, beautiful pool, great spa experience, nice food choice. Loved the peace and quiet.

Rice fields, little ponds, pretty grass, good hosts.

The best place I stayed in Bali. I didn’t want to leave it. The location is quiet, great around rice fields and jungle, the team is so lovely. I have done most of the activities they offer and I really enjoyed as you go always with a local guide providing information about their culture. This time I also helped Dewi (the owner) with the English classes for the kids in the village, it was very special. We had a great time! The food is delicious, I enjoyed every breakfast and dinner. This place is perfect for you if you want to immerse in the Balinese culture and the real Bali! Thank you Dewi, Putu and the rest of the team. I’ll come back!
