The property is located on a quiet section of the lake, the only sound is birds and leaves in the wind. The views from the bedroom are spectacular. This is definitely a spot for nature lovers. Don’t be deceived by the odd little path to the house, it is well worth it. Priyanga, who manages the property is one of the most lovely people you will meet. Do not skip breakfast or dinner, he makes fantastic food. Priyanga goes the extra mile in assisting with arranging tuk tuks for the early morning climb. His trusty companion Tommy (the neighbours dog) was also exceptionally sweet. This has by far been our favourite stay in Sri Lanka, we actually extended an additional night. The new water heater actually generates hot water which is great after climbing Sri Padaya.

The place is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was delicious and felt like home style comfort. What really made the stay special was the staff; they were very friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. Overall, a simple, fun, and amazing place to stay. Would definitely come again.

Such a lovely place to stay, we were glad to be slightly away from the centre of town. Kushan was a brilliant host, we could have come with no plans at all and he would have ensured we had lots to do to make the most of our time in Nuwara Eliya and onwards! Pedro Tea Estate is a short walk through the tea plantation from the cabin. Breakfast was delicious and the perfect amount, we could choose from Sri Lankan or Western breakfast (we had Sri Lankan). There's a lovely view from the tree house where food is served.
