This was perhaps the most lovely hotel experience we've ever had, and we've been traveling internationally for 45 years. Such a perfectly executed vision of a boutique hotel - no detail was overlooked. Having a Michelin starred restaurant steps from the impeccable room was am amazing bonus - and the staff was superb!!

Location was great, being very close to all the bars and restaurants without being on a loud street. We were given a list of recommended places which was very appreciated. I also liked that each room had its own shower although really only one could be used because of the lack of hot water in one of the showers. We were lucky to be on the first floor, so that we only had to take one flight of stairs. It was nice to have an Alexa in the room to play music for us while at the apartment. Another positive was the price.

The stunning Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Elciego, is located in Elciego, in La Rioja’s Álava province. The room was superb. It was in the attached accommodation and had a beautiful terrace and view of the church in the nearby village which was lit at night. The terrace a was lovely for snacks and drinks. The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. The breakfast was exceptional and we enjoyed the tour of the winery and tasting. The hotel buildings are dramatic and iconic.
