You stay/rent a Japanese house all for your self. Perfect for traveling with family, and/or a group of friends that needs a washing machine, and peace and quiet. Its next to the main road, but traffic is not a lot on weekdays and as the house has its own fence, it blocks direct sound from the road. For night time, you would not hear a thing.

But most of all, the hospitality of the staff is over the roof, absolutely exceptional service and kindness, words can't express how much we have been taken care of. Located a 2-minute walk from Iseshi Train Station, Isegekusando Iseshinsen offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property and indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. Private roten buro-bath was exceptional. The room was huge. Self-service coffee bar was nice and food was more than we could eat.

As a European, I love it. I was worried it might be tacky, cheap, kitsch and so on, but it's just a really lovely and stylish slice of Mediterranean. Grounds and facilities were impeccable thanks to recent renovations. Great food, great public bath, great staff. The breakfast was a delight. It's just about within walking distance of the Yokoyama trail area if you're up for a bit of hiking.
