The hotel lies inside a beautiful park, so there are lovely views all around, and it’s if you want to get out for a walk you’re already in a natural setting within the town. Our children enjoyed the pool, where you could swim both indoors and outdoors. The staff was friendly and helpful, and kind to our children. Breakfast had many options and we also had a nice meal at the restaurant in the evening.

The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. There is a lovely warm welcome from the moment of check in to the moment of check out. The staff in the breakfast room are very kind and provide everything needed for a very enjoyable breakfast. It is situated just a few minutes walk from the bus terminus, which makes it easily accessible from Lisbon. We were joined by our son and his family for one night as they were travelling to Porto for their flight home. They had a beautiful room which was very large with a luxurious bathroom. They are looking forward to going again. Alcobaça is a very relaxing place with gorgeous restaurants and delicious food. I would highly recommend Montebelo Mosteira. I’m already looking forward to a return visit. Thank you all very much for making our holiday a wonderful experience.

Featuring a bar and a terrace, Sapientia Boutique Hotel is set in Coimbra, 600m from S. Sebastião Aqueduct and 400m from University of Coimbra. We got upgraded to a room which felt like a palace. Beautiful and comfortable room, it had everything. Just perfect! Also the breakfast was good and we ate lunch at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we've had in Portugal.
